Quality links, those coming from authoritative well targeted online sources carry considerably more weight in gaining high visibility, higher Google PageRank and eventually propelling your website to #1 on Google. Abusing your inbound links can have just the opposite effect, and may tarnish all your SEO efforts. Refrain from obtaining or posting links from link farms, you may find that your Google PageRank and Google search rankings begin to fall rapidly. Great SEO means always shooting for quality over quantity, remember, the Google Algorithm is extremely sophisticated and tens of thousands of man-hours are constantly poured into making it better each and every month. Be sure to refrain from linking with spamming or garbage link sites and only choose high quality websites to link back to your website. Be sure to use proper anchor text linking and link to pages other than just your websites home page. By following these simple rules, your websites credibility will increase, followed by your web sites Page Ranking. Hard work, quality links and other SEO techniques we have spoken about in our Free SEO Tips will be what makes your SEO campaign a success, the payoff bring you one step closer to being #1 on Google. If, for example you are listing hundreds of websites on your pages but no one is linking back to you, it is quite possible your website could be penalized in search engines.

Your SEO campaign means choosing your links very carefully and relying on quality anchor text links, as well as domain names for linking, but do so within limits. Also carefully select folder titles and files titles that you link too; you can optimize them with keywords and up your search engine ranking in doing so. Re: How to do Link Building? Re: How to do Link Building? - Link Building... Time-intensive. Frustrating. Sometimes confusing. Yet Unavoidable. Because ultimately, it's still the trump card for higher rankings. What happens to all those Wavers that think [i:1otfkny0]Getting Links = SEO[/i:1otfkny0] when that majority of the Google algo is devalued in various ways? Wavers built their fortunes on "links=seo". When that goes away, the Wavers have zero to hold on to. What will happen to the way search algorithms score links is already happening. The Google algo has become much more elegant and advanced, devaluing staggering amount of links that shouldn't count, and placing more emphasis on trusted links. And the trust and juice given by those links is then verified by elements like user data, domain age, and other relatively hard-to-spoof factors. toddbeld
Re: How can I promote my site? Re: How can I promote my site? - There are various useful techniques for promoting a website. In SEO the techniques could be "white hat" and "black hat" techniques. White hat techniques includes following techniques to promote website as per the search engine rules. - Search Engine Friendly Tags - Website submission to Search Engines - Website Submission to Social Sites (Like twitter, Facebook) - Articles Promotion & Press Release Promotion - Quality Directories promotion - Contribution to Blogs, Forums Black hat techniques can reduce website strength in the search engine and can treat site as spam that could be following. - Keywords Stuffing. - Hidden Links - Maximum Links of unknown sites.
Re: Search Engine Optimization Re: Search Engine Optimization - Very true, but you don't want to focus on just getting a lot of links for SEO. The important thing is to get the right links. Links from respected, trusted sites that have plenty of backlinks themselves are the best place to start. Quality over quantity wins hands down. If you received a link from a pagerank 5 site, you would be receiving roughly 2,000 times as much link juice as if you found a PR1 site. It obviously pays to put your efforts on the higher pr sites of the world.
