Search engine marketing is the cornerstone of every successful online business. In order to survive in today's online marketplace, your business needs to have a clear vision and a solid marketing strategy. Staying on top of search trends and researching new keyword phrases for your online business or product is now a necessary process. This is the second part of a two part series in which I will finish covering the main aspects of search engine marketing and how you can apply them to your own SEM strategy.

Start A Blog For Your Business: Blogging has now become a very popular and inexpensive way to promote your web site to millions of others searching for information online. Adding fresh web site content to your blog on a daily or weekly basis can make for more regular indexing by search engine spiders. Keeping an updated blog also adds credible back-links and keeps web content fresh for better optimization of your web site. Here is a compiled list of some more popular Blog Submission Directories.

Submit Your Site To Portals & Directories: Search out and link with other web sites that have relevant content to your own, but who are not in direct competition with you. There are also hundreds of free web portals & directories for you to submit your web site. Linking to these web sites can be a valuable source for back-links and forward links to sites that are in your online neighborhood. In the long run, using organic linking practices such as this really do pay off.
