One of the most important factor for successful Search engine optimization is domain name selection which is search engine friendly. If you can get the domain name for your website, which is your main keyword for your product or service than there is 95% chances you get very high in major search engine like Google, yahoo and Msn.

There are number of things you should remember while selecting domain name for your business. Most important factor is the ease by which a potential customer can recall your site. Example: If your site is like a money transfer company than the domain name should be something like: http://www.safemoneytransfer.com rather than your personal business name like 121xyzgroup.com

If your domain name should be easy to remember, it will attract more unique visitors to the website. One major problem in selecting a .com domain name as .com domains were introduced early they are very popular. But most of the names which we would like to register for our businesses are already booked by domain companies and other individuals.

Most of us are really confused about the selection. If you take my advice you can book any domain .net, .com, .org it will not make a difference. If you have a good business model you can definitely rank higher in any search engine.

Selecting a good domain name for your site starts with the most important keywords you have chosen to focus on for your website. Firstly you should investigate online to find out which keywords have large amount traffic and the least number of other websites competing for that particular keyword. You can go to each of the major search engine
Google yahoo and Msn and find out most performing keywords.

Case study: Mr. Mahesh approached me as he wanted to decide upon a domain name for his company M.R Enterprises dealing in Projector lamp. I suggested him a domain www.projector-lamp-sales.com Projector lamp sales was a very relevant keyword for his business and he quickly registered it.

He has no.10 ranking in Google for “projectors sales in india” but this was not overnight.
