Blogging For Business

Blogging is one of the most important tools that online webmasters have as a means of promoting their business. Why? Blogs have the power to reach many thousands of people that are interested in exactly the type of products or services that you sell. They help people to see that there is a real person behind the business. Blogs also give you a means of getting to know your clientele better.

When you create a blog you are creating a type of advertising venue that is focused purely on you and your company. You can say whatever you like and you can focus on whatever topic you think will be most interesting to your clientele, or in this case, your readers. You can show them exactly why your product or services are important to them and the benefits it will provide them. The trick is to do it in a way that is both entertaining and unobtrusive. Don’t make them feel like they are reading an advertisement. People don’t like advertising. Make it fun and personal by talking about your own experiences and your own views or the experiences and views of others. Talk about relevant media findings or news worthy events in your field. Integrate you product or service in your blog entries occasionally and you’ll soon find that you have many readers who now have exposure to your business on a regular basis.

Your blog will also make you more approachable. It is important for people to see you as a real person. Why? Because the fact of the matter is that people buy from those they feel that they have a relationship with. If you have to buy a stereo and there are two electronic stores in town who do you buy from? Do you buy from the store where you never see the manager around or do you buy from the store where the manager has a presence and come out to see how you are doing and asks about your wife and kids? Of course, you buy from the one you feel comfortable with. You buy from the guy who you feel has an interest in you. Likewise, blogging help you develop a relationship with potential buyers. They read your blog a couple times a week and when they leave comments they get a response. So the next time they are looking for product x they will remember you and they’ll come to you before they buy from someone they’ve never had any contact with before.

Finally, you get to know what it is your clients are really interested in when you blog. They give you feedback, they share their ideas, and you can exchange ideas with them. If you want to know how to market your products, find out what is important to your customers. Do they look for convenience above price when they are purchasing products like yours or do they just want fast delivery times? Knowing these things can help you to develop content for your blog and for your web site. In the long run it will help your provide a better product or service and increase your sales.

If you have a business online, blogging is one of the simplest and easiest tools you can use to get closer to your future buyers. When they get to know you and trust you they will be more likely to buy from you. Their input and thoughts that come through your blog may be just the edge you need to get ahead of the competition.

Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy Re: Best Internet Marketing Strategy - Hi David, I agree about the Blogosphere. You have a smaller group that Blog, but do so on the premise that they think they should, but have never really considered the purpose of their Blog. Then I think there are a few SEO or Internet Marketing types that see Blogging as just another link building strategy. But the largest group of Bloggers, tend to be people who enjoy writing and discussing their topics of interest. Blogging is good for link building, but the true Blogger is a breed apart from the rest. They want to dialog, to debate, to have feedback and they are very willing to link to other worthwhile conversations that are relevant to their topic. I agree with you. These group of Bloggers obviously are passionate about their writing and together, they create huge conversation trails interactive and travel from Blog to Blog. But the evidence is clear with this group that loves what they write about. With comments enabled on a Blog and having a Blog tuned to a specific purpose you already have the evidence of original Social Media.
Use of Blogging For Promotion Use of Blogging For Promotion - Blogging might not be the easiest promotion and advertising method however it certainly is one of the cheapest methods. All you need is a hosting package and a domain. Actually you could do it through Blogger and it would be free of charge.
