Re: How To Pick Keywords To Rank For - Hi Evan, Thanks for a great tip. The best way to this is suing a unique keyword phrase in you article or blog title. After doing the research, do a google search with " " and try to get a phrase that no one ever used. Yes, this is a very low competitive phrase, almost never searched, but this will guaranty you a #1 rank in Google. The more entries like this you have, google will index you faster, and you can move on to more competitive words.
Re: Just Saying Hello - Thanks for the input guys (and gals). PPA sounds like a good alternative, who/what are the biggest providers (i.e. google and yahoo are big for PPC)? For the record, I started out with adwords and within a few weeks switched to yahoo because of the lack of support and price difference. IMO, yahoo blows google away for PPC. The plan for now will be to get "free" traffic and once I get that converting well I can spend money on PPC, PPA, etc. Tanny, do you have any links (or personal advice) on how to effectively use WP as a CMS? I need to get rid of the blog look from the template I'm using. I have dreamweaver if that helps.
