Building Links is today's golden rule to promote your website amongst the search engines. Since the arrival of Google's patented Ranking Algorithm that position a website with in the SERP depending upon the number of quality links those are pointing to a website, “One way Link Building with Forums” has been a win-win tool for many Search Engine Optimization companies.

But getting relevant links from quality websites those are human edited is the key today. So, where are these resources those are moderated by fellow humans, is the answer that many of us Ethical Search Engine Optimization Researchers keep looking for.

Links from forums are edited by humans. With quality forums those do well among the search engines, there's are moderator's who keeps a close check for unwanted posts. The job of forum moderators or administrators is to keep discussions clean and healthy to maintain it's visitor enthusiasm and thus, retain the viewer ship. You can write relevant posts here, and get links from Forums in exchange (Again, not all forums allow posting of links in the message signatures. You need to read the forum policy before you posts your links.). Again, if you do not write relevant posts, you are likely to get banned by the online community and will be termed a forum Spammer. So, the best way to of using forums, is to be 100% real, ask your day to day real time queries and get useful feedback from others in the community. Re: How should i promote a new website? Re: How should i promote a new website? - ignore this message IF it's already been stated. I haven't had a chance to read all the replies and i have to jet from the office... I suggest marketing where ever your Target Market congregates. If it's a forum of concerned parents - go there. Strike up a deal with the forum owner (JV) and have him promote it to the list of members (Integration Marketing). If you want to go with Forums then i would partner with a parent who is a frequent poster/moderator on a particular Target Market Forum and have him/her add your link to their signature. That was just a thought but it's not as intense once you get buy in from the Forum owner or high ranked poster/moderator. Hope that sparks some new ideas.
