7 Backlink Secrets For Home Business Revealed

If you currently follow a proven link building strategy for your work at home business or one that generates work at home ideas, you will realize that some of these link building techniques may have been neglected, ignored or kept a close guarded secret. This article hopes to reveal some of these simple yet powerful techniques that you can use immediately.

1. Is Quantity Better Than Quality?
Acquiring lots of Quality links are definitely better of course. I discovered the true value of quality links by accident when I first set up my new work at home ideas blog last year. Thankfully I had the intuition to focus only on authority sites including mostly .edu sites and other PR4 blogs which are relevant to my work at home business niche. After getting these high value back links from these authority sites, my Blog page rank moved from PR0 to PR2 within just one month of link building.

Many people usually do not consider pagerank to be that important because their business and income have not been affected by a lower rank. But if you take link building as serious as me you will soon realize that pagerank does matter and is a very important factor that determines how well you rank in search engines.

2. Anchor Text Variations
Do you think that anchor text variation is important? It definitely is because Google likes to see natural link building. If you use a variation of keyword anchor text, that would be of the best ways to do this. One of the best link building strategies I use is to keep my main keyword but have other keyword anchor variations to complement it. I have learned from other SEO specialists the ideal mix of the number of primary keywords and secondary keywords in your page. I really advise anyone against using a 'one keyword' linking technique as it may give an impression to the search engines that you are a spammer.

3. Internally Linking Among Pages
To get some basic understanding of internal linking within your pages, I suggest that you understand a little about orphan pages and how they are viewed by Google.

An orphan page is one which has no links to another page and as a result it cannot be found by search engines. A good solution to correct this is to check all your pages to ensure that they have been linked to one another. Failure to do this means that these pages may never be indexed by the search engines as they are considered irrelevant for searches. As a result, these pages will never have any search engine ranking.

4. Do Not Ignore Outbound Links
Many people completely stop using outbound links on their blog posts after learning that they should get more inbound links than outbound links. You should use some judgment to include some good outbound links for every post you make. In fact this will benefit you in search engine ranking while providing the reader with more information and a different perspective of the topic of discussion, However do remember the rule that your no of outbound links should not exceed your number of inbound links.

5. Links Embedded in Page Content Have More Value
Links which are found within the page content of your pages have more value than anywhere else like your blog comments section. It is due to this reason that many bloggers do linkbaits like blog review or blog contests which allow them full control over other bloggers linking to their sites using their chosen anchor text. Such backlink techniques have known to help bloggers in terms of SEO. An embedded link in the page is also recognized by search engines as more natural and is given more value if they are relevant to the page.

6. Link Also To Pages Not Just Your Homepage
If you are already following an link building strategy for your work at home ideas website you will know that getting many high quality and relevant back links linked to your inside pages is extremely important for search engine ranking. Although this is no longer a secret as Google has documented it, but there are many reader in my blog community still have not heard of this link building technique.

7. Buying Manually Added Quality Backlinks
This subject always raises some controversy but I’ve had conversations with at least one SEO specialist who honestly believes this is a good link building technique for your Work At Home Internet Business. He buys links regularly and has included it in his SEO checklist to buy cheap links from eBay monthly for his many websites.

Some of these techniques are simple to do but may take you some time to see results for your work at home business. But if you start today a simple link building strategy including all of these simple techniques, you can be sure you will rank well in the next six to eighteen months.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals Re: Alexa Ranking Goals - Thanks GT for the info. Articles and blog commenting are good way to get a one-way backlinks. I heard that if we can link exchange with competitors and high ranking sites, will it helps us? There are people who sells high PR sites packets like Angela and Paul Backlink packs, for link exchange. Is that worth exploring? Thanks, Robert
