What is organic search engine optimization? In plain English, organic search engine optimization means re-adapting the contents of a website in such a way that a hyperlink to it will show up among the first results when you search a set of words through commonly used engines, that is Google and Yahoo, above all.

They refer to it organic search engine optimization because the hyperlink in the search page comes out "naturally" by contrast to the other kind of results displayed in the same page: adverts. Substitute with a metaphor the rather unclear word "naturally" with an even more unclear one and what do you get?: "organic search engine optimization".

For a strange reason, search engine users tend to elude clicking on adverts on a results page. Thus, an organic result has a more considerable potential in directing visitors to a web page than a paid advert. An organic search engine optimization connoisseur "optimizes" the contents of a web page to include the most likely set of words a target user would use while searching for the same field the page addresses.

As stated earlier, organic search engine optimization minds only crucial engines. About 60% of the searches are done through Google; less than a third of that, 17% through Yahoo; while MSN and AOL are employed only 10% and 4% of the time as stated in Nielsen-Online's last bulletin.

Every organic search engine optimization pro knows how Google punishes the old days practice of crowding a pointless page with certain keywords (remember those abominable "link farms" and sinister pages with gazillions of garbage text and unseen phrases embedded with the same color of the background).

What is meant by "Google punishes" sites? It is nothing more, and nothing less, than placing the website last in the results page.
Placing a natural or organic result lower is the Information Age equivalent of dispatching a site to total forgetfulness. An organic search engine optimization addresses this problem by offering useful content to the searcher along with the appropriate quantity of special words for which the content has been optimized.

An organic search engine optimization also has to do with the HTML structure, too, to facilitate the indexing of the webpage when it is visited by the search engines' robots. Hence, organic search engine optimization also means converting a website so some parts are visible to search engine robots -very visible- while the rest remains ignored or not invisible at all.

A correctly set website that ranks well between other results because of its organic search engine optimization instills confidence and dexterity. Whenever a trusted website sells something, either services or products, visitors are eager to go on with the payment process.

Once the websites have reached an adequate level of organic search engine optimization, they will rank great for a long time and be more successful than pay per clicks because organically placed links generally have less antagonism. They are less expensive, too.
