Article Overview: The page title commonly known as title tag of the website is given more weightage by the search engines comparing to any other text on the page. So the tip for the day is to make your title tag lead with your primary or target keyphrase. In the previous post I have discussed with you on choosing the right keyword

. Let the targeted keyword be shown at the beginning of the title tag. This will tell the search engines that your web page is more relevant to the keyword in the search result. After doing lot of test on the search engine results, we recommend you to focus on three keywords on a web page. And never use it repeated on any other page as it will create a competition within the website pages. Make sure that you have enough keyword rich content on the web page. Add at least 200-250 words on each page, so that the search engines will have enough food. Add relevant keywords most importantly near the top of the HTML where search engines give more weightage. Always be careful not to go overboard, to the point that your copy doesn’t read well. I use the given format for title tag and it works fine for me.

Re: Traffic! How do you get it? Re: Traffic! How do you get it? - Of course, the quickest way to get targeted traffic to your site is PPC ads. However, before jumping into PPC, make sure you have a strong landing page that is "on message" and gives the targeted traffic what it wants and a reason from wanting it from YOU.
Re: What is Email marketing? Re: What is Email marketing? - As far as selling anything online, I honestly, only do through email marketing. Whether I am selling someone else's products or selling my personal items, all I use is email. For me, it's easier to measure everything when I market anything online. I normally drive all traffic to my lead capture page, then I just tweak the page till it's optimized, which is never ending process. Then let's say I have a page that converts at 20%, now I know every 100 visitors I acquire, 20 people sign up to get on my list. Then follow up messages go out to them and writing these messages is another tedious process. Eventually, though, I'd have the data as to how much earning I make for every X subscribers. Let's say I generate $25 for every 10 subscribers, if I want to build that site to earn me $250 every month, I'd have to generate 100 subscribers every month. As in the example above, if a page is converting 20% of total visitors, then in order for me to generate 100 subscribers every month, I'd need 500 visitors to the lead capture page every month. But what's cool about online business is traffic seems to always grow or at least stay consistent. Never really drop so much significantly all of the sudden. The more stuff you have out there, the more traffic comes to the site. I like email marketing. I can't think of marketing in any other way, really.
Re: Has anyone bought targetted visitors? Re: Has anyone bought targetted visitors? - I agree with the previous contributors to this thread that cheap "targeted" visitor packages are a waste of money. The "targeting" is basic at best. The only possible use for cheap targeted visitor packages that I can think of is when you are in a hurry to get results for a split test to see which page scores a higher click through rate... Not sure how valuable the results would be though!! DH
Keywords Keywords - Keywords in your URL are good, but you also need to include these in headings on your pages. If you were going to search Google for this content, what words would you use? What common words would people use in a search engine if they wanted to find your site? You don't need to overdo the headers, just add a couple to each page and especially on your home page to attract search engines. I think someone also mentioned listing your site in directories. This is good and make sure to list your site under beauty - this should attract people that want to find you. Trading links with sites is good and especially sites that attract the people you want to bring onto your site. Miss Shri
Re: Teens make $$ on Squidoo Re: Teens make $$ on Squidoo - I think better invest in a blog then in squidoo lens. I have created a squidoo page targeted on specific keywords but nothing more.
