If you pick in an unwise manner, you may be wasting a large amount of time and effort promoting something that is doomed to fail from the beginning. The good news is that there are several tips that you can follow to decide on which offer is best.

Firstly, make sure that you are promoting something that people will buy. You can find out if there are buyers for products by searching for keywords that relate to your product. If you go to an online keyword tool such as the one that is owned by Google, you will be able to see how many people are searching for this particular item each month. If there are not many people searching for this product, you should search for something else to represent. Since there are so many items to which you can drive traffic, this should not even be an issue. The opposite is also true in terms of competition. If you spot an offer that has a great deal of competition in terms of keyword phrases, be sure to steer clear of it because you will have a harder time with all of these competitors. The goal is to pick the fruit that is hanging the lowest on the online marketing tree. In this case, that means the keywords and products with a fair, but not overwhelming amount of keyword searches.

Secondly, choose offers that have a number of good buyer reviews. You do not want to select an item that has a very negative reputation because it will be more difficult to overcome those negative reviews. Your job is to sell the item by mentioning mostly positive information about the offer. You can state one negative issue about the item, but keep the negativity to a minimum to increase your chances of success.

Remember that there is a good way to pick excellent items to launch to your rabid buyers. Make sure that you use the keyword tools that are at your disposal to perform proper keyword research. Also, pick keywords that not everyone and their online family are promoting. Finally, make your job easier by sticking to offers that are more positive in nature to become a top affiliate.

Re: How long can you stay away from your Computer? - I was away from my computer all day today! I teach on a university campus on Fridays and have a six hour break between classes. When I am not rushing off campus to cover another job, I spend my time in the library... Last term I was on one of the library computers emailing and blogging. Today, I went back to my old routine of researching for another one of my projects, my "write-and-publish-one-Shakespeare-paper-a-year" project, which has really been on the back burner this year. It does feel good to know that there is an Internet connection available which I am able to CHOOSE not to use!! It's certainly not that my online business is in great shape, either! One look at my website and I see tons of stuff that I need to improve or update, or just plain get around to DOING! Talk about mobile phones... The other day one guy was stood on the tram kicking up a racket with his phone, watching the baseball on it. I use my phone for mailing, as a calculator, countdown timer for reading exercises in some of my classes, for snapshots, occasionally to send notes to myself, oh, and also as a telephone sometimes! But like the rest of the posters on this thread, I use my computer much more and it would be no competition if I had to choose which one to get rid of!
