If you're thinking of starting a new business venture in this New Year, you'd be wise to consider starting an online home business. Besides the obvious reason that more and more people are doing a majority of their shopping on the internet, there are three other reasons why starting an online business in 2010 could be one of the best business moves you can make this year.

Freedom to Make Your Own Schedule - This is probably one of the most attractive reasons to start an online home business in 2010. When you own your business and it's a business that's run completely online, you have the freedom to set your own schedule because the internet is open for business 24 hours a d ay, seven days a week, and 52 weeks a year.

So, if you're a person who hates mornings and is most productive in the afternoon or in the evening, you can stay up late working on your business and sleep in during the morning hours. And, you don't have to even have the same schedule every day. If there are certain days you want to work on your business during the morning hours and other days you'd rather work at ten o'clock at night, an online home business gives you the freedom to keep such a schedule.

Plus, you can leave your "office", whenever the need arises. This is especially beneficial to parents as children often have school events during the day that parents are invited to if they can afford to miss work.

Children also get sick; requiring parents to stay home and take care of them whether they can afford to miss work or not. When you have an online home business, you can go to your child's school events or stay home with them when they're sick and never worry that you're costing your family financially for doing so.

Tons of Business Types to Choose From - When it comes to deciding what type of online home business you should start, your choices are almost limitless. From making money with Ebay auctions to affiliate marketing and business coaching, there are as many types of online home businesses as there are types of people who want the advantage of earning a living online from their homes.

Unlimited Amount of Free and Low Cost Resources - Whether you've owned a business before and whether it was an online home business or some other kind, or if you're completely new to making a living from your own online home business, you'll need to have access to resources that can help you learn about the industry in which you'll be doing business. You'll also need resources that teach you about how to run any type of online home business.

One of the best things about an online home business is that there are hundreds, probably thousands, of free and low cost resources that will teach you everything you need to know about running a business and about any of the myriad of industries that are wide open and waiting for new businesses to be started in them.

From books to eBooks, to CD's, and complete home study courses, almost any type of resource is available for little or no cost in almost any industry available for you to start a business online. Simply doing a search on the internet for free "insert online home business type" resources should bring up tons of learning material you can use to teach yourself everything you need to know to start a profitable home business.

I could fill pages with reasons why starting an business on the internet is one of the best business moves you can make this year, but hopefully the three reasons I've given you here will be enough to convince you. So, if you're looking to make a new start in 2010 and having your own business is a dream you'd like to see come true, give some serious thought to starting an online home business today to jumpstart you finances and avoid financial limbo.
