10 Essentials for a Rockin Business Facebook Fan or Group Page

Creating a Facebook group or fan page can be easy, provided you know what to include in your business Facebook page. Following are some factors that you should definitely consider or include while creating your business Facebook fan or group page.

  1. It is important that you provide information about your company, such as the business name, website address, phone number, address, your working hours and services or products you provide. Ideally, your website address should be placed on the home page just below the top left logo and be sure the link works to encourage visits back to your website.
  2. Under the “Info” tab at the top, include details regarding the type of business you conduct, explaining your aims, goals as well as other items stated above. You may be repeating items, but that’s okay. It’s better for them to easily find the information than have to search and be frustrated.
  3. A logo or a picture depicting yourself or your company adds validity and an identity to your business Facebook group or fan page.
  4. Add a short description of your company somewhere in the left hand part of your business Facebook fan or group page (like above or below the website link). This will explain your business to the visitor, and also create interest in your website.
  5. Create a landing page with Static FBML will allow you to direct your fans to your landing page instead of your wall. This will ensure that new fans or members can learn more about your business instantly.
  6. Regular posting to your wall is the key to success. Postings can pertain to happenings in your company, promotions or offers that you want to share, discounts that you are planning to offer to customers, events that are being organized in your business or even simple updates about what is being planned for the future. Be sure to include links back to your specific website for visitors to read more, thereby ensuring maximum traffic to your website. Some great ideas I’ve seen is realtors or car dealerships taking photos of the buyer after the sale with their purchase and posting them to let customers know they are closing deals and that others trust and use them.
  7. Keep the communication open. Address all postings and comments (good and bad) from followers and fans. Let them know you are a real person behind the business and care about them as a customer or prospect.
  8. Blogging and attaching your RSS feeds of your blogs onto your Facebook fan or group page will help keep communication open between you and your followers/fans and increase traffic to your website and profitability in the long run.
  9. Adding other similar apps like YouTube, Flickr, Twitter link, etc will assist in showcasing your business or products in several different formats.
  10. Add polls to your Facebook fan or group page, which will allow visitors to feel they have a voice that is being heard.

Re: Are you going to use Facebook Timeline? Re: Are you going to use Facebook Timeline? - Hi apu, I Recently used Facebook Timelines, actually it seems like a Facebook blog which makes profile page more attractive but i don't think it will help in internet marketing because it also slow the speed of Facebook Page. Share your Experience!
Facebook Fan Pages Facebook Fan Pages - I have a Facebook Fan Page for my business, Solo-E.com. But my efforts at really getting it going (getting new fans, promoting discussion/interaction, etc.) have been, I'll admit, half-hearted. The biggest reason? I hardly ever visit the fan pages of other solo entrepreneurs, even those that I hugely admire. How about you? Do you regularly visit fan pages? What draws you to them, if you do visit? If you do have a Fan Page, what has your experience been with making it successful? How do you even measure that success??
Business Coaching Internship Review Business Coaching Internship Review - I joined in during the first phase of the internship and at this point we are committed to doing research and development of RSC Business Group operating in Toronto. RSC Business Group already has products and services in Coaching Small businesses in Los Angeles but we didn't want to assume that the same products were wanted and needed in the Toronto market. Our goal at this point is to commit to interviewing 1000 business owners to capture this data. Through the teleconference internship I've been involved in we've been focusing on Communication Skills and on active listening which are practiced when we conduct our interviews and Coach our clients when they come on board. This is a lot harder than it sounds! Part of the internship is also creating the Toronto RSC Business Group's departments, job descriptions, Marketing and Communication plans etc that a business owner would create for their own company. This trains us in the way we would coach a company as well. The internship is phased in two parts and there is compensation plan involved as well for the clients you personally bring in. These clients are coached directly by Robert Chun as you begin but you are given a chance to learn his techniques. I haven't gone through this experience yet though. It's hard to explain Robert Chun's method of Coaching as it happens at a psychological level in his ability to listen and question the person being coached into the next steps they need to take. The Teleconferences are 2 hours long but it's very interactive. If you have a desire to explore this area of Business I'd recommend contacting Vwodek listed above and get invited to a Coaching Conference call. You can decided then if it's for you. Note: it is a commitment but the skills you walk away with whether you plan on working with RSC Business Group or not is invaluable.
Re: Twitter vs Facebook Re: Twitter vs Facebook - I use Facebook pages for Business and rarely ever use Twitter. I hace lost count of the no. of Hotels that I have visited, regarding their marketing campaigns, that may have 5k Facebook Fans and only 100 followers on Twitter. It is a lot more difficult to engage with people on Twitter and thus harder to gain traction. If you are a business like Nike, then Twitter is great, but if you are an SME, then focus on Facebook or LinkedIn (if you are providing a professional service.) You can always have your Facebook feed directly in to Twitter, so you can have a presence on both, but do the work on one. Also check out ping.fm for managing campaigns - it is a free tool, and a great time saver.
aweber aweber - At RSC Business Group Inc., we plan on using Aweber for sending out Newsletters and to use as an autoresponder to inform clients of upcoming seminars they showed interest in attending.
