• Register for Domain Names:This is perhaps one of the basic ways in which you can make money off domains. All that you need is to do some research on various topics, choose generic words and register them with your registrar of domains. It is pertinent to note here that you will have to choose absolutely generic terms as they drive more traffic to your website than specific ones. Moreover, you also have to take care that your chosen generic name is not already registered and is not a trademark of any other company. Using three or more worded generic names without any special characters in between will get you better money today than using one or two worded names.
• Analyzing Trends and Securing Names:This is another way to make money out off domains. There are several new trends happening in various areas of business and by keeping your eyes and ears open, you can use these trends to create unique domain names, which will drive more traffic and therefore be more useful. However, it is important to be on top of all trends in your field of business or interest in order to make huge profits. Making money off domains can be easy if you understand that it works like the stock market in terms of volatility with respect to availability of names.
• Domain Parking:Once you have found and registered your chosen domain name, it is often not the perfect time to sell it. Therefore, while waiting for the right time, you could park it with some company that provides you advertising support. Although the money made through such parking is not huge, it is still one of the simplest ways of making money off domains.
• Developing Site for increasing Type-in traffic:For any domain to be successful and profitable, the type-in traffic or direct navigation traffic is the key. The more you are able to attract such traffic, the higher would be your profits of selling such domains. In order to ensure high type-in traffic, developing your domains with the right kind of content and advertising will help in the long run. Usually, people who buy domain names do not do so for selling and therefore do not develop them. However, these people do not realize the opportunities that a developed domain can bring. Most businesses today are interested in ready-made domains, where they need not struggle for getting the right kind of traffic and if you can provide that, then the cost does not matter, which means you will get high profits.

So, use a balanced blend of some of these tactics to make money off domains.

Well, I have learned from realhomebasedsuccess dot com that there are home based business opportunities and ideas that could be our option such as: -Selling Goods or Providing Services Online -Making Money through Direct Marketing -Becoming an Affiliate Marketer -Getting Paid on a Click Thru but I was thinking which is the best one and most effective in terms of generating consistent Ongoing Profits. What do you think? do you have any insights?

Re: Which would you start: a Blog or Online Community? - It is a difficult decision to make. Lets start it this way - What are you more interested in? Money? or Friends? or Both? If its purely Money, then Blog might be an appropriate answer. But consider this - It will be people (visitors) that will bring traffic to your blog and then Money will follow. This will be possible after a time and during this time it will be your friends who will be the starters. If you are looking for friends only, then its true that not many will be interested in knowing how you have beaten them in the game or the other way round. So it will be preferable to have a Forum where they can share ideas with you and others. But you can share your insider knowledge with them and invite comments from your Blog. You can also put up information on what others (including your friends) don't know about Tennis. The blog you create can provide News, Inside Information and also Techniques that can be used by the new entrants in the world of Tennis.
QuickBooks vs. Microsoft Money vs....? - I have always used Microsoft Money to run my business - accounting, invoicing, etc. It came with my computer when I got it and integrated well with my online banking system so everything is a breeze. It only takes 30-60 minutes every quarter to do the bookkeeping (keep in mind that I have a very simple business - no inventory, very little invoicing, I do all my payments by credit card, etc). Is QuickBooks or Money the best accounting tool for small business owners? Or is there something even better?
