With more and more advances in technology, there is a plethora of websites available on the internet today, which are vying with each other for profitability. Making money off your website is quite easy and has been done by various webmasters, who have mastered this art. If you are looking to make money off your website, then following are some of the easy ways to do so. Before we start understanding the various ways, it is important to mention that some of these methods are direct while others are indirect. Depending on your knowledge, expertise, budget and other considerations, you can choose the method that best suits your purpose and increases your profitability.

Using Google AdSense or PPC Advertising:Pay per click advertising is a very old and common method used by website owners to make money. Registering with networks like Google AdSense gives you various ads, in both text and graphic forms, to use. All advertisements are contextual and you earn money for every click. Profits earned through this method largely depend on the traffic generated, cost per click and the click through rate.

Direct Banner Advertising:This is another direct method, where you can sell advertising or banner space on your websites to various companies. While this means that you decide how to place your adverts and the rates to offer them at, it is only profitable if you own a popular website. Unless your website has a high level of traffic, this is not a conducive means of earning off your website.

Affiliate Marketing:Under this program, you can use affiliates or third parties to sell your product to a larger audience. If on the other hand, you do not have a product, then you can join the affiliate programs of other companies and use their products and sell them through such affiliates. Whatever be the type you choose, ultimately your website makes more money using this method than any other, provided you take care to choose good affiliate programs.

Paid Surveys and Polls:Most companies want to expand their business and profits. In an attempt to do, they are always willing to publish paid surveys or polls on various websites to reach out to a larger group. One of the simplest ways for you to profit through your website is by contacting such companies and agreeing to host such surveys and polls on your website.

Selling E-books:This is an indirect method to make money from your website. Through this method, you could either create your own e-book and sell it or could sell existing e-books, albeit those related to your area of business and make money out of it. Alternatively, you could also set up a system for selling hardcover books, where necessary, to increase your options.

Paid Consultancy Services:Most people are looking for expert advice on a variety of topics. Using your website to dispense some worldly advice, albeit paid, to the masses is an excellent way of ensuring that you are profiting from your website venture.

It is important to note that the above list is in no way exhaustive but inclusive in nature and that there are several other options and ideas available to people wanting to make money off their websites.

Well, I have learned from realhomebasedsuccess dot com that there are home based business opportunities and ideas that could be our option such as: -Selling Goods or Providing Services Online -Making Money through Direct Marketing -Becoming an Affiliate Marketer -Getting Paid on a Click Thru but I was thinking which is the best one and most effective in terms of generating consistent Ongoing Profits. What do you think? do you have any insights?

Re: Which would you start: a Blog or Online Community? - It is a difficult decision to make. Lets start it this way - What are you more interested in? Money? or Friends? or Both? If its purely Money, then Blog might be an appropriate answer. But consider this - It will be people (visitors) that will bring traffic to your blog and then Money will follow. This will be possible after a time and during this time it will be your friends who will be the starters. If you are looking for friends only, then its true that not many will be interested in knowing how you have beaten them in the game or the other way round. So it will be preferable to have a Forum where they can share ideas with you and others. But you can share your insider knowledge with them and invite comments from your Blog. You can also put up information on what others (including your friends) don't know about Tennis. The blog you create can provide News, Inside Information and also Techniques that can be used by the new entrants in the world of Tennis.
