An example of a White Hat SEO technique, as opposed to a black hat technique would be back link generation (White Hat), as opposed to link farming (Black Hat). Back link generation is a process / set of techniques where some truly interesting and highly relevant content is created and then it is posted online. If the content is good, people will share it with others, and thus the link is propagated across the web. Link farming, on the other hand, is the unethical practice of creating a group of sites, and then hyper linking them all to one another, with no regard for relevancy. Back link generation can be a healthy way to increase the popularity of your site, while link farming will risk your website and your business through search engine penalties and the poor results of receiving non-relevant traffic. There are countless White Hat SEO techniques, here are a few safe and ethical practices used to increase search engine rankings for a website: Make the most of internal linking. You may be familiar with the fact that when sites link to other sites, search engines pass value for the terms/phrases used in the link anchor text. (Anchor text is the highlighted text in the link. internal links are an effective tool in improving a site's ranking. By adding links to the content of your site that are relevant for the user you can kill two birds with one stone - improve both search rankings and usability. When web sites link to each other, either directly or indirectly through a number of different pages, a search engine might consider those links to be reciprocal links. Building reciprocal links is another White Hat SEO technique where you exchange links with other sites to get additional incoming links to your website. However, you must remember to have a high ranking popular site link to your content in a way that is relevant to readers. Always keep in mind the golden rule of SEO: Content is king: Well written content not only engages the reader but it also Increases search engine rankings and traffic and promotes the likelihood of quality links from other sites. You should also update content regularly, every day, or at least a few times a week. Hosting a blog is a great way to boost visitor traffic onto your site as well which in turn will create better recognition and indexing of your pages. Does poll data sway you? - A few weeks ago, an article based on poll data said that white democrats wouldn't vote for Obama, and gave all sorts of numbers, like 75% of White Democrats won't vote for Obama, 64% of White Democrats think Blacks are lazy, etc. And from this article came a lot more articles complaining about racism in the US and how, if Obama lost, *that* would be the only reason why. HOwever, for myself, I simply didn't believe the numbers. Why? Because although the article was referring to "60% of all white democrats" feel that and 80% of all white deomocrats think this... if you went down to the very bottom of the page, you saw the sample size. 2,227 people had responded to this poll, and yet it was being reported as if they had talked to millions of people, how else justify saying "All white Democrats." I know polls are supposed to help take the pulse of the nation, but I really think that the way the news is reported is what sways opinion towards a candidate. For example, if these poll articles posted the sample size in the *first* paragraph, and pointed out that the percentages they are talking about are of "those who responded to the poll", not of "all" people, the average reader would realize what a crock it is. As Isaac Asimov once said, statistics works great with large numbers, with small numbers you are on very rocky ground, and to make sweeping declarations of institutional racism among a political party based on 2,227 respondents is very rocky ground indeed!
Re: The rape of the American consumer - I don't think 'rape' is an appropriate term to use, but I do agree that it makes virtually no sense in my opinion, why the American government has bailed out these institutions and not put reasonable clauses or monitoring on the way in which the money will be used. I can see the line up for bailout requests surmounting in front of the White House in the coming weeks. I see (no joke) that the adult entertainment industry is also asking for a 4 billion dollar bailout. It will never end. Taxpayers are PAYING the companies that CHARGE US to use their services. It's a double payment, and it's being grossly mismanaged.
