Which is more important A great Ad Banner or Landing Page?
I often get attracted to high quality ad banners displayed on various Web Design Forums or SEO Forums etc and they are tempting enough to be clicked. It seems that's the end of it as I come back immediately after visiting the landing page.
Most of the serious advertisers are into pay-per-click, banner advertising, pop-up ads and other internet advertising methods to generate more traffic on their websites and convert them as well.
No doubts they must be getting a huge amount of traffic through their publishers, however; does that really convert for the advertisers?
Most of the traffic is sent to landing pages, if not the actual websites and the visitors get to read quick notes about where they are and what they will get if they fill up the short form glittering at a side on that well designed web page. A landing page provides an entry point to your website for visitors who reach your website by clicking through from an external link. When someone searches for one of your keywords and then clicks through to your website they should enter on a page containing information specific to that keyword.
Advertisers may end up paying more for less if the landing pages are not suitably design or if it is missing important call to action elements.
1.The landing page should have a great header with a wide image, highly relevant to the product and its benefits. Visual descriptions are more suitable for human brains.
2.Bullet points must be there to describe the product and services quickly. Remember visitors are mostly in a hurry or want to act fast.
3.A strategic placement of Call to Action elements will guide the visitors to the Enquiry form. For. E.g. use of arrows, excellent buttons
4.A very well designed form with enough space for Name, Emails can attract more leads.
5.Use of fresh and bigger fonts to enhance the reading experience. It helps the visitors read more.
Try the methods mentioned in the article above and see the change in your lead generation campaigns yourself.

Re: Examples of Great Landing Pages
- Kevin, been a while!
hey I just reviewed the Landing Page - I like it! The structure is all there and I like how the testimonials are "related" to the business benefit of becoming a Partner - Nice work!
Two points:
1. Have you tried other headlines or split tested other headlines? You can use google website optimizer to do it. I know you can come up with a slightly stronger headline unless this one came out on top.
2. I feel that when the page first loads it looks "incomplete". It's just a visual thing. I guess i was expecting a border around the content, a header image maybe... it's just the way i am wired to expect webpages to load. This point may be insignificant. Testing is the only way to know for sure.
SEO Marketing tips for Promoting your Business on Bing
- Bing is gaining popularity and within a short period of time this search engine has surpassed Yahoo and almost giving tough competition to Google.
There are more users logging into Bing every single day. Some of the cool things about Bing is that it is QUICK and has a better USER INTERFACE.
However, there is a significant different in the way Google and Bing rank websites. If you are planning to optimize your website for Bing then you need to consider these following tips.
1. Domain Age – Bing gives preference to your domain’s age. Google on the other also gives preference to domains which are old.
2.On-Page Optimization/Off-Page Optimization – Google gives more preference to Off-Page optimization rather than on-page optimization. Bing on the other hand gives more preference to On-Page SEO optimization rather than Off-page optimization
3.Text Density – Bing gives preference to keyword density of your content. If you are targeting a particular keyword and your keyword density for that keyword is abysmally low then you wont be able to rank too high on Bing.
4.TITLE is more important – Although Google does gives preference to keywords in TITLE, Bing entirely focuses on TITLE of any given webpage to decide whether it should be ranking at page 1 or Page 8. Therefore make sure to add your important keywords in the TITLE. Also you should abstain from artificial keyword stuffing. Several keywords are semantically considered as same. Take for example, Search engine optimization company, and SEO marketing company are semantically connected with each other. If you are ranking high for one combination, you will also rank for other combination.
Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels?
- Actually PR (Page Rank) is not very important at all these days. The only real exception is if you are trying to sell links. But it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. If all other things are equal then the higher PR site will rank higher. However, it's not very important for the most part.
But if you do want to increase it then all you have to do is get more backlinks from sites with higher PR. Easier said than done but that's how you do it.
Ways to generate website traffic
- From my experience link building has been an extremely valuable tool for me. The links I have received have helped build my Google Page Rank and increase my rankings for important keywords.
I have not had much luck with directories. Your link is one of many on the page and the Page Ranks of the page that your link ends up being on is typically very very low.
Social networking is interesting. I must admit that I haven't done too much in this space beyond tools like LinkedIn. I would love to hear people's experiences with promotion through social networking.
Re: Meta Tags
- [quote="ChrisH":tzc1bohg]I'm just curious what you all think -- -
How important do you think meta tags are? If the content is keyword optimized and they are being used correctly (as per Google's current instructions) how important are meta tags??
Chris[/quote:tzc1bohg]
Metatags were very important 10 years ago. Now, search engines are smarter...
There are 2 very important things on your page:
1/ Page title: make sure to place some keywords in your title (avoid title like "welcome to my website, great information resource". You are wasting prime keyword real estate.
2/ Content. Content. Content. Content. Content. Oh, did I mention content?? Your content as to mention your main keywords several times.
3/ <h> and <b> tags are very important too. They tell search engines you emphasize these keywords.
