People are amazed that in two weeks they can have #1 listings for competitive local kewords. Tip: Don't stop by adding just one ad. As long as each page of your website is different and optimized for different keywords you should create multiple ad words for each page. Example: Type in "Minneapolis web development" in Google. You will notice we have two listings. One for our home page & one for our mission page. They are both optimized for "Minneapolis web development" so Google will approve both listings / ads. Jeff
Re: Domain name sugestion - On the dashes question, I just did a test on my own site, Grasp-The-Nettle.com and found I got the following results: grasp the nettle = 6th on page 1 of Google graspthenettle = 5th on page 1 of Google grasp-the-nettle = 6th on page 1 of Google It doesn't seem to make much difference.
Re: Is Google Search getting better or worse? - As per the latest update Google improving search engine algorithm. As per the latest Google update Google now prefer content more than Title Meta tags. Now searches will show only descriptive content of your page so post relevant and unique content on all your website pages.
Re: How To Pick Keywords To Rank For - Hi Russell, Yes, typically if everyone on the first page of the Google results is using the keywords in the title then it's going to be very competitive and difficult to rank. The juice is typically not worth the squeeze in these cases. Unless you are a big brand name site and are committed to investing the time and money into really getting onto that first page, I would suggest moving to a different keyword. If half of the listings or fewer have the keywords then it's a decent one to target. It may take work to get to the #1 position but at least you have a good chance of getting on the first page. If you don't hit page one then you won't get many hits from Google.

ANS:- I search on Google ad word keyword tool, find relevant keywords on my websites and get some keywords from competitors website. - Where do you place them in your content? ANS:- I place them in my website content specially according to their relevancy with the page. - How frequently do they appear in an article? ANS:- I give 2 links on my keywords in article which point back to my website. - What challenges do you have trying to use keywords in your content? ANS:- Sometimes target high competition keywords - What questions do you have? ANS:- While choosing keywords, what should take care else! and what should be the competition. - What recommendations? ANS:- Search on Google, Yahoo, Bing by entering one keyword you will get number of keywords.
