The Philippines, while it is not totally free from fraudulent SEO companies, is by far the safest outsourcing hub in Asia.

According to Neilsen NetRatings, a globally recognized research firm, the Philippines is ranked 2nd to India as the most preferred outsourcing destination in the World specifically in areas of information technology. India's market share of the outsourcing industry is only higher by 11.79%. Since the formalization of globalization, companies all through out the world gained easier access to resources offshore. This phenomenon created what we call outsourcing.

SEO, an abbreviation for search engine optimization is one of the most frequently outsourced services to date. Companies eying to expand their market share without having to expand their operations physically, turn to the internet to tap potential customers. According to Forbes magazine, an estimated 1.9 trillion US dollars in total sales is generated online in 2009. This data has re-enforced the need for every businesses to extend their operations online, which explains why SEO is in high demand.

Why Outsource SEO in the Philippines

The reason why the Philippines is a preferred location for businesses to outsource some if not all of their operations is the fact that the Philippine culture is very much related to the west. Historically, the Philippines has been a colony of Spain, UK and the US. And since western companies are much more inclined to deal with businesses that operates under the same principles, they choose to work with Filipino companies.

More importantly, the Philippine labor market has got hundreds of technically skilled people who can deliver the expected results much like their western counterpart; only this time, with minimal cost. Over 80% of the Philippine labor market is literate, which is another reason why western companies prefer to work with Filipino businesses. Data collected by Neilsen Research in July of this year shows that Philippine SEO companies got the highest rating in terms of the quality of SEO services they deliver their clients.

Moreover, the Philippines is a multi-lingual country considering that they have been a colony of Spain, Japan, UK and the US. A relatively large number of the population can speak Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Indian and English. This language advantage has catapulted the Philippines as the top outsourcing destinations for European companies.

The Philippine laws that regulates the operations of foreign businesses is yet another impetus for foreign companies to outsource in the Philippines. Foreign companies are accorded safety nets and preferential treatment to further encourage them to actively participate in the Philippine economy.

In Summary

Over-all, the Philippines has proved to be an attractive outsourcing destination. All the essential ingredients already exists namely; lower cost, skilled man power, culture compatibility, language and government support. Over the coming years, it is expected that more companies will outsource their operations in the Philippines to take advantage of these benefits and to keep up with with their competitors.

Finding someone who can deliver what you want - and more - can be a matter of trial and error. But once you find that person or team, keep them busy! Don't give up the search just because the first one or two underperformed or failed to perform at all. Remember, every successful entrepreneur gets there with the help of others. You just have to go out and find 'em!
