5 SEO Tips that All SEO Content Writers Should Follow

SEO is not an easy issue. It can get even more complex with lack of proper knowledge and poor guidelines. Having the reality been told, here is a piece of news that can cheer all of those who is wondering how to create an effective SEO. This fact that though there is unprecedented rise in competition, SEO is getting easier. The reason for this as simple as the Search Engines are getting more organized. Just being careful at some of the avenues can create a brilliant SEO tactics even without the help of expert.

Here are some of the points that must be addressed be taken care of while making SEO strategies for any website.

Knowledge of what customers want specifically:

Discovering the keywords used by customers connected top one's business does the magic. Placing these keywords will do most of the job. Starters can rely on Google AdWords.

Centering the content in accordance to these keywords:

The selection of articles one places in website is vital. It is ideal to include those articles that speak about keywords related to business and targeted towards prospective customers. On the other hand too much use of keywords can also be disastrous for such articles are generally reprimanded. The point is to include keywords meaningfully and placing them right places ideally in beginning of the article and in one of the link. But in no circumstances should the merit of the article be compromised.

Use HTML format:

HTML is one format that Search Engines easily recognize. Surely they are opening up to other formats like PDF files and images. But for cent percent certainty HTML is the best format because actual web pages have those words only. They use them with formatting codes to make the words look as they look when they appear as search results.

Create Links:

In addition to the quality of the content and a lot of other factors, the Search Engines always consider the links. It helps to have web directories and related sites and create links from these to you own site.

Ensure the correctness of technical details:
Often people miss out some technical details like what kind of description is provided with each page, which words appear on the apex of browser window and most importantly the appearance of keywords in the title tag.

But the Search Engines value only those contents that provide fruitful information for the clients, make sure that along with technical details, the quality of the article must be high.

Re: Meta Tags Re: Meta Tags - [quote="ChrisH":tzc1bohg]I'm just curious what you all think -- - How important do you think meta tags are? If the content is keyword optimized and they are being used correctly (as per Google's current instructions) how important are meta tags?? Chris[/quote:tzc1bohg] Metatags were very important 10 years ago. Now, search engines are smarter... There are 2 very important things on your page: 1/ Page title: make sure to place some keywords in your title (avoid title like "welcome to my website, great information resource". You are wasting prime keyword real estate. 2/ Content. Content. Content. Content. Content. Oh, did I mention content?? Your content as to mention your main keywords several times. 3/ <h> and <b> tags are very important too. They tell search engines you emphasize these keywords.
Consult your customers before you change your procedures.... Consult your customers before you change your procedures.... - Not sure where this topic should go, but... I just finished reading a rather funny series of posts on MySpace. I belong to a group called WritersCafe. This group also has a webpage, where people post their stories and poems for other people to critique. Apparently, today, the Writers Cafe website has undergone a complete makeover...and its users were taken completely by surprise - apparently no one in charge at Writers Cafe bothered to tell anyone that the format would be changing, or asked for any input on what the changes should be. So there's over 2 pages of complaints on the Writers Cafe group message board, with people saying they can't log in, they dont' like the new design (it looks too "girly" - whatever the heck that means!), and other complaints. And while this only happened today, I have seen other instances of this. Every once in a while yahoo.mail or google groups implements a change in design - and it is never as good as it used to be. Then of course there's the IMDB (internet movie database) which also recently changed its design without telling anyone first or solicting input - and the new design stinks. Fortunately there's a button so you can use the old design, which is what I do... But in all these experiences, the main point of irritation is that no one in "charge" ever asks the people who use their site, if they want changes made and what they should be. It's like they've got all these programmers on staff and have to justify their salaries, so they have them work up "improvements" - but these are techheads who probably don't use the site, so they just do what they like, rather than what users like. The fact that it happens continually, across various businesses, is a rather disturbing trend.
Re: Best looking social networking site? Re: Best looking social networking site? - Hi Kevin [quote:3h76yt08]With so many social networking sites to pick and choose from, what influences your decision to join a particilar site? Is it just your friends, the content, people using it or looks??[/quote:3h76yt08] For me, the most essential criteria in selecting a Social Networking Site is its Content followed closely by popularity- in terms of daily visitors. Then comes the Content followed by the Friends and looks. Most of do social networking to attract traffic to their website(s) and as such the Content and Popularity of the site are important. btw, the list doesn't have digg or netscape or del.is.us which are the top social media sites.
