Not many people have heard about eco friendly clothes. This will soon change as this type of clothing is rapidly gaining in popularity. One of the main reasons for is that is to help protect the environment, as you can gather from their name.

There are many different types of clothing which can be made from eco-friendly materials. The most common by far are t-shirts. However, socks, pants, and even sweatpants can all be made. You will also find items of clothing for your baby or toddler labeled as eco-friendly.

Companies wanting to make eco friendly clothes nowadays have to abide by strict standards. They have to change their processes to ensure that they do not cause any harm to the environment. The most notable change these companies have to make is to discontinue use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

It was very common to use these chemicals in the old days to help plants grow faster and keep various pests from destroying them. However, in the process, the chemicals caused a lot of damage to the environment by making small wildlife sick, and even die.

Humans who handled these chemicals also risked health problems. Companies looking to the future and starting to make eco-friendly clothes also have to provide their workers with suitable working conditions. Their salaries will also need to be competitive within the industry. This means you will not find eco-friendly clothes made by companies that utilize sweatshops.

You can find eco-friendly clothing now made from various types of materials. If you like cotton, then you will have plenty of options to choose from. Of course, the cotton would not have been grown with the help of fertilizers or pesticides.

Bamboo and hemp are two common materials used also. More and more companies are also starting to use fleece and peace silk to make clothing items. You can definitely expand your wardrobe with unique pieces of clothing if you buy eco-friendly clothing.

You also will not have to worry about skin irritation. Since the fibers used to make the clothing are all-natural, there will be no pesticide residue to irritate your skin. The inks and dyes will not be a problem.

Sooner or later, we all have to throw our clothes away. In the past, this could damage the environment because the material was not biodegradable or used harmful chemicals in the inks and dyes. This is not a problem with eco-friendly clothing since they are fully organic and biodegradable.

If you are looking towards the future, then you certainly need to invest in eco friendly clothes. They will make a great fashion statement and you can help save the environment in the process.

Re: your personality type? - Hi Zac, If you're on the fence about 2 and 3, I'd think more about them. Big picture people tend to be oblivious to the detail of what is happening NOW -- the colors on a restaurant wall, the layout of someone's apartment, the color of people's shirts at a party, etc. They instead notice the "theme" -- an upscale restaurant (who knows what color), casual shirts at a party (not sure what style), etc. A "trendy" apartment, but who knows where the bathroom was.
