What are Link Pyramids?

Internet marketing is a highly challenging task. Link Pyramid is a tool to optimize a website and improve its performance in terms of ranking in search engines. It does not target a single link, but collectively benefits the group of related links. The lower quality web pages are linked together with the superior quality websites, and ultimately, they all emerge as better quality web pages. The sites can be linked up wards and laterally. The home page of the website gets benefitted by the structured network of links. Another important purpose of link pyramids is to ensure that the back links having low value are not caught by the spam filters. It has proved to be one of the best strategies to promote one’s website.

Constituent Elements which should be considered

To build a strong and effective link pyramid, one has to pay attention to each details of the components forming it. The list of elements include the article directories, application directories, social networking media, social bookmarks, pinger, press releases, video releases among many other things. They have to be arranged in an ordered and coherent manner to form a structure which is optimized and friendly to the search engine, enhancing the rating and visibility of website across the internet. Good amount of time should be invested in devising a clear and concise strategy of building the link pyramid. Another things to be kept in mind are linking of the keywords and coming up with suitable keywords that will be useful to be included in the future articles.

Levels in the Pyramid

The bottom level

This level comprises the network of websites that have been created or are available on the internet, free of cost. They can be made or found either on a blog host which is free, or Squido. They link to the websites on the 2^nd level of the pyramid or randomly to other sites across the web. It has cheap or inferior quality links.

Middle level

The level at which you place the domain portfolio of yours. The network of the sites created, gets distributed across the shared accounts for hosting the sites, which are reasonable in terms of cost. These days, the renewal of domains cost more than hosting the sites on a shared account. The web pages present at this level will be linked from the ones present at the bottom level, but vice-versa does not hold true. To let the network grow, you can buy some cheap links like directory submissions or press release links.

The Top level

At this level, the target site resides. The web page is highly optimized that has a good rating in the search engines. This is the website you wish to present it before the users. It is an e-commerce designed site which only bears only the the high quality links. The bloggers or reviewers who link to it have to be paid. This is the page that brings in the money. This site has link bait containing huge amount of editorial content.
