Flash is Outdated

When the Web was a bore, Flash came up as a revolutionary change. The too limited simple HTML and blinking GIFs were not enough to satisfy the coming floods of Internet users all over the world. Easy to install and easier to update and maintain,Flash came up to the top as a hero.

With Action script as its backbone, Flash could be programmed and re-programmed according to the need. Flash was heavy, slow browsers cried havoc when it came to loading Flash based Websites. This story dates back to when Laptops, Mobile Phones, Tablets and other handheld devices were just about to emerge. So, the fact of worry was to how to load heavy flash based websites on low powered computers.What did we want was, Websites with cool new features and cooler interfaces.Handheld devices needed lightweight applications and thus the Bigger players started early in the game.

Numerous ideas and applications popped up and began a new era Web 2.0.ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo and several others are the new players in the Web Development team. These are applications and or JavaScript based library tools to help in the rapid development of a Web Application. These applications prove useful in designing the Websites too. HTML, with new variations like XHTML up to level was being used, but someone still liked the classic HTML and wanted it to be in use.

HTML, which had been left out at level 4.01 has been redesigned to a better level of accuracy and consistency and named HTML5. CSS, the key player in the world of Web Designing has also been re-specified to level 3. So CSS 2 has moved to CSS 3. With such revolutionary changes in the Web Design world of lightweight applications, Flash finds itself too fat to be employed in real Web 2.0 Websites.

Some websites still rely on Flash, but that doesn’t make them ‘Old School’ or something like that. As it is said, everything has pros and cons. Being heavy, flash is scriptable and controllable. Altogether, it can be said that although Flash is outdated it is being used. But, we have better and cheaper and lighter technologies in the market, to build better Web Applications and in lesser time than the Flash technology.

The search engines don't pay much attention to keyword metatags, and using javascript/flash just means the search engines can't "read" it (so if your menu is javascript, for instance, the search engine won't see any keywords you might have in there.)
Web Designing - Web designing is huge right now. There are some many methods and different programming codes; ASP, JAVA, PHP, MySQL, Flash just to name a few..... One basic code you should learn is HTML. There are two ways to do this - actually coding by hand or turn to a code generator, which are becoming pretty popular, because it is more drag and drop rather then learning a new language. Search for FrontPage or Dreamweaver. They are the most popular HTML Generators. That will start you with learning the setup of websites. There are plenty of tutorials online, so whenever I get stuck I Google search for the solution. Haven’t failed me yet.
Re: About: product production! - Kevin, When was the last time you were in a fight? Copying artwork is a crime. If you copyright or register a trademark for your work your case will be a slam dunk. Don't be afraid to go toe to toe with a thief. I have been amazed at how fast people will back off when they realize they are dealing with someone that understands their rights. True the patent office is nothing more than a place of registry and does not enforce the law. Times and attitudes change I recommend you watch "Flash of Genius" Fifty years ago if you said America will have a black President people would have laughed you out of the room

The interview was about the company new antivirus, of course, but he was talking about the new ways to insert harmful viruses to your computers and mobile. 1- SMS, it is not new, but the phenomena is increasing with the development of mobile phone with OS, and of course the mobile companies that ignore this problem. 2- Social networks, twitter, facebook, etc, with one tiny message you can infect 100,000 computers, because the lack of security and "thanks" to people who approve everyone. 3- On 3rd party softwares, for example FireFox Add-ons, or other programs that connect the internet, the most favorite are Flash and Quicktime.
