Use Flash With a Caution

Flash makes websites look beautiful and technological. It is visually striking with lots of features that make using flash websites a fun. Web designers enjoy making flash websites and Internet users enjoy using them. Flash can be interesting and much more fun if it is used with a bit of caution. Here we highlight the few reasons to use flash with a caution.

Loading time is affected Flash slows down the rate at which a page loads. This is the most unwanted feature that flash possesses. Flash files, embedded in a webpage, take up to one-third of the total size of the entire website. Internet users are impatient in nature and they may skip the website if it takes too long to load. In such cases other options are thought of by them. That is why web designers optimize flash files to make it smaller before embedding them in web pages.

Flash can make the website information unavailable Too much use of flash in websites can cover up the message or the inner meaning of the website. Sometimes users are so much impressed by the flash design that they may forget their reasons that took them to the website. A web designer has to make sure that flash is used in limit, maintaining a balance with the content to uncover the motto of the website. He must provide text information for every link or button so as to make the user know what it is meant for.

Flash can be confusing Flash can confuse a user making him get lost in the website. If the flash design of a website gets wrong, it will make the user experience worst. To let this not happen, a designer has to provide a website with proper information regarding the flash demonstration. Mostly it happens that a user opens a website that is built on flash and finds it unable to load because of missing plug-ins. It really becomes difficult for a non tech savvy person to understand the plug-in installation or updating process. Designing a flash website is difficult and if it does not suit to the user, all hard work becomes useless. Flash sometimes gets out of control.

Right-clicking on websites to copy a piece of text or an image becomes difficult rather impossible. To avoid this expert designers use the perfect idea of providing the user with an option to disable flash and view the website as simple HTML. This way they user does not have to go to any other website, hence, preventing loss. Using flash is fun but confusing as well. A designer who opts for a flash design for himself or for anybody else has to be careful and cautious regarding the results flash can bring to them.

Hi everyone! Hi everyone! - Hi everyone! I'm a freelance Flash Developer and Website Designer. I'm working on developing an internet venture. Someday, I hope to start developing more mobile applications. I have one completed already and is on the marketplace.
Re: Bad SEO techniques? Re: Bad SEO techniques? - [quote="WebBizIdeas.com":1a8vvwse]There are few more techniques which also known as the Bad SEO Techniques or Black Hat SEO Techniques. Such as: - Relying on keyword metatags - Purchase Links (From Spamming or blacklisted sites or doing purchase links on high level for site marketing) - Horde Page Rank: This is one of my favorites, because it's one that most webmasters don't understand yet. This is because it changed over the past year or two. The concept people have in their mind is that page rank is a key part of site rankings and linking to other sites "leaks page rank" from your site. However, the world has changed. - Swap Links: Another oldie, but not goodie. Search engines want links to represent endorsements. Swapped links represent barter, and they are trivial to detect. Don't swap links for the purpose of building page rank. It's a waste of your time - Implement duplicate content - Use Session IDs on your URLs - Use lots of Javascript - Implement your site in Flash[/quote:1a8vvwse] I wouldn't think of "relying on keyword metatags", "using lots of javascript", and "implementing your site in Flash" as bad/black hat...just ineffective. The search engines don't pay much attention to keyword metatags, and using javascript/flash just means the search engines can't "read" it (so if your menu is javascript, for instance, the search engine won't see any keywords you might have in there.)
Web Designing Web Designing - Web designing is huge right now. There are some many methods and different programming codes; ASP, JAVA, PHP, MySQL, Flash just to name a few..... One basic code you should learn is HTML. There are two ways to do this - actually coding by hand or turn to a code generator, which are becoming pretty popular, because it is more drag and drop rather then learning a new language. Search for FrontPage or Dreamweaver. They are the most popular HTML Generators. That will start you with learning the setup of websites. There are plenty of tutorials online, so whenever I get stuck I Google search for the solution. Haven’t failed me yet.
Re: About: product production! Re: About: product production! - Kevin, When was the last time you were in a fight? Copying artwork is a crime. If you copyright or register a trademark for your work your case will be a slam dunk. Don't be afraid to go toe to toe with a thief. I have been amazed at how fast people will back off when they realize they are dealing with someone that understands their rights. True the patent office is nothing more than a place of registry and does not enforce the law. Times and attitudes change I recommend you watch "Flash of Genius" Fifty years ago if you said America will have a black President people would have laughed you out of the room
Re: What's the best anti-virus/spyware software? Re: What's the best anti-virus/spyware software? - I just read an interview today with Kaspersky, the Kasperky himself. I hope I'm spelling his name right. The interview was about the company new antivirus, of course, but he was talking about the new ways to insert harmful viruses to your computers and mobile. 1- SMS, it is not new, but the phenomena is increasing with the development of mobile phone with OS, and of course the mobile companies that ignore this problem. 2- Social networks, twitter, facebook, etc, with one tiny message you can infect 100,000 computers, because the lack of security and "thanks" to people who approve everyone. 3- On 3rd party softwares, for example FireFox Add-ons, or other programs that connect the internet, the most favorite are Flash and Quicktime.
