How to Sell Green & Increase Sales

Are you looking at the world around you and discovering ways to increase your sales? If not, why not? You are surrounded by opportunities all day everyday if you’ll just open your eyes and ears and put them to work for you.

Have you noticed there are cable television channels dedicated to green living, entire lines of green cleaning products, green cities, etc? And you’re wondering what green has to do with you and your business? Well, green could be your new marketing best friend.

One of the quickest ways to increase sales is to get complete strangers contacting you. One of the most effective ways to do that is direct mail. However, direct mail can be costly. Especially if you don’t know how to consistently produce profitable leads from you direct mail efforts.

The costs involved and the learning curve are prime reasons for you to go the paperless, stamp-less route. Now here’s where going green comes in. Start with your existing clients and prospects.

Let them know you’re committed to doing your part to operate a green business. In your efforts to become green you’re asking your existing clients and prospects to allow you to communicate with them electronically. Most will agree because it’s a win-win-win.

They don’t like getting junk mail and throwing it in the garbage. They don’t like sorting through the mail trying to find what’s important among all the fluff. They get to feel good that they’re working with you to do something they care about, keeping our world clean.

Now you have their permission to communicate them through email. Email is a nearly free marketing solution. It’s one of the easiest and quickest ways to learn what works and what doesn’t work in your marketing communications. Plus when you do it right it isn’t just easy for a client or prospect to forward your message to someone else they have a good reason to do so.

Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional - Hi Evan, I am noticing that many of the posts in the Sales/Marketing section deal with online marketing, SEM and and SEO and Affiliates. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to separate that section into two; 1) Online Sales and Marketing; 2) Traditional Sales and Marketing
Re: 10 ideas to make you money in 2010 Re: 10 ideas to make you money in 2010 - I think Education would be hard to break into. Baby Boomers, Life Support and Trading Down, however, seem like good markets. As for Green technology goes, I don't think the business has to be entirely based on Green ideologies, but rather a business that embrace Green philosophies and use that as a marketing tool.

Re: Are you a Blue, Red, or Green? Re: Are you a Blue, Red, or Green? - Hum... a lot of reds responding... Business owners must be a very aggressive community. Now, I was surprised when I took the course personally to find out I was a Green, secondary Blue. Of course, not believing this, the first thing I did was turn to those around me to get their opinions on my colours (typical Green!). The only thing I can really say about STRUCTOGRAM is that it was fun to explore the depths of my social and physiological make-up... I did this a over a year ago now and still use it in my daily interactions (always be on your toes with Reds).
2007 Goals 2007 Goals - My yearly goals for December 2007: 1. Add 10-15 new "ideal" clients to our client roster 2. Increase revenues by $500,000 3. Average at least 1 paid speaking engagement per month.
