Super Simple Increase Sales Secret
Do you ever feel like you must be making things harder than they are? You very well might be. You see, real sales success isn’t about a slick technique or gimmick. Real sales success is about starting a genuine relationship with someone, and having the opportunity to build on that relationship.
There are three kinds of people in this world. There are people who don’t have a need for what you offer, and will never work with you. There are people who have a need for what you offer, yet they still won’t work with you. Then there are people who have a need for what you offer, and WILL work with you.
No sane person would ever waste their time, energy, or resources on the people who don’t have a need for what you have to offer. Yet, countless salespeople do waste their time on these folks because they don’t know how to narrow their efforts to avoid them. Plus you aren’t effective at helping the people who do need what you have to offer work with you.
When I said this sales secret was super simple I wasn’t kidding. Let me help you understand something you already know, and understand how it relates to increasing your sales. If you were going on a trip tomorrow to a new place you’ve never been before where you knew no one I’ve no doubt you’d meet some people along the way. Some of the people you meet would be nothing more than a casual encounter.
However, you will probably meet at least one person on your trip that you’ll want to know more about. What will make this person stand out from all the other strangers you meet? What will make you want to know more about this person?
This person will have an interesting story. Yes, that’s it. One of the easiest ways to increase your sales is to develop, and perfect your story.
Your story will get the other persons interest. You’ll tell your story with passion because it truly excites you to share it with others. Like any good story you will share a point of view. There will be a challenge that must be overcome. The more emotional that challenge the more likely you are to connect with your listener. There will be a lesson learned that will transform the situation. Your story will clearly communicate how you help others in a memorable and exciting way.
