Hurry Up & Wait!

Recently, I had the opportunity to assist a small company in training their sales people so as to prepare them for a new product launch. It sounded exciting! We had a great time together but I soon found out that they were not as prepared as I had thought. What I knew was that they were new. I also knew that they were eager to get started. What I didn't know is that the product they were intending to launch was not yet ready for market.

To have a great idea and a product that functions to the level of expectations is one thing, to have it perform through the rigors of market testing is quite another. You may be automatically thinking that from a sales point of view a market ready product has endured all the necessary "market research" and acceptance. There is more.

When we introduce a new idea to the market, it has to be tested for quality and performance under adverse conditions which provides clout to its new guarantee. The new product must also be scrutinized for legal and industry certification standards. This will provide assurance of compliance laws for customer safety and security.

Finally, making sure that the product does what you say it does is confirmed through this process.
Why is this important you ask? Because the last thing you want is to have embarrassment come upon your company's name because your sales team or represtatives did not have all the necessary information to tell the truth.

To prepare your team, let us know. We want to help.

Sincerely,

My life has changed sooooo drastically (within 1 yr) since my introduction to these laws (newborn on the way, wife, house, new job, leaving hometown, etc). Plus, understand that these laws are NOT NEW. You have been using them the whole time unconsciously!! Wait till you put conscious/guided effort into your affirmations. Then the miracles begin!!
Re: 7 Strange Japanese Inventions Re: 7 Strange Japanese Inventions - Wait a minute, the "Japanese smile" is itself a kind of mask! So now we have a mask behind a mask with a smile (or grimace or hideous grin) on the face of it (the mask). Talking of masks and faces, have you read the novel The Face Of Another by Japanese novelist Kobo Abe? It is all about how a man loses his face in a lab accident, and has a life-like face mask made... an exploration of face and identity...
To Delegate or Not To Delegate To Delegate or Not To Delegate - On another thread, mphcoach shared a list of levels of delegation. On this thread I have a question about the lowest level of delegation. This is a description of this amount of delegation "Level 1 is the lowest level of delegated freedom (basically none). Level 10 is the highest level typically (and rarely) found in organisations. 1 "Wait to be told." or "Do exactly what I say." or "Follow these instructions precisely." When we work with people who need this sort of oversight, how much of our time do we spend keeping tabs on them? Some people never seem to get past this point. In other words, they always need someone to watch over their shoulder and watch every move. How long can we afford to keep this sort of person on the team? That will differ with what you actually need this person to do. It also makes a difference whether they are onsite or a virtual assistant or freelancers. I know people who want to be freelancers, but they need this sort of direction with each project they handle. Is it cost efficient to work with this sort of person? Shri
