Stress-Free Selling® - Easy Ways to Avoid Price Objections

Believe. Ah, the power of conviction. If we believe our prices are too high, we create price resistance. If we believe our prices are justified, appropriate, a good value, worth what we're asking, you will watch price objections disappear.

Of course this will not make all price objections disappear. What it will do is make many disappear. . . just because you believe.

Your lack of belief is like a giraffe to a lion. It devours you. You don't have a chance.

So, what's the solution? If you believe your prices are too high, you have three choices:
1. Get comfortable with them
2. Change them
3. Get another job
People buy because you believe not because they believe. If you cannot get comfortable with your prices, you will always receive price objections. This is so true, I have seen salespeople open conversations cutting their prices. Price is not the reason people buy. Yet so many salespeople hit this obstacle because they don't believe.

Here's a fourth option. Call me. I can help you get comfortable, reassess your pricing structure, evaluate your positioning, or train your sales force, so price becomes a non-issue.
Happy sales,
Jenaé

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!

Re: How Not To Start A New Business Re: How Not To Start A New Business - Well, these guys these guys will not succeed at all. they need to have a way of doing things. First thing first, which market segment are they targeting? Or are they in the same segment the previous magazine was. They also need to understand the trends, currently people read online magazines so they need a website. After that they need to develop the marketing mix, which will guide them in their marketing activities. This marketing mix will be made of 4 Ps, which are Product, Place,Price and Promotion. I will assume the magazine is the product, the first P, The Price is what is the role the price will play in the market, do they want premium price, or do they want to skim the market. The other P, they need to have, is the Place, this will help in having a strategy on where to place their magazines, this includes the websites, malls, newspaper stands etc. The final P they need to develop is the Promotion, this is the advertising , channels, websites, forums, blogs, name it. Once they have done that, they can sit down and wait for money to come but not without superior customer service, otherwise without all this, they are wasting their time and money.
