Car College: Learn while you drive

... I'm riding in your car...... you turn on the radio....is how a song starts out (Fire by the Pointer Sisters).

There's nothing wrong with listening to tunes while you drive to work or on your way to meet clients and prospects. BUT ....what if sometimes you could invite a Motivational Speaker or a Top Sales Trainer to ride with you? How cool would that be?

Well you can! Nightingale Conant is a 30 year old company that specializes on providing tapes, CD's, and MP3 recordings of some of the best of the best in the training and motivational field.

You can get some terrific educational and motivational programs. Most of these authors and speakers combine the wisdom of many gurus from the past and add their own material and special way of delivering the message. You can listen to audio clips on the website and decide who might resonate best with you. Some of my favorites are: The Psychology of Selling and The Power of Clarity by Brian Tracy, and Lead the Field by Earl Nightingale, and Goals by Zig Ziglar. Listen and learn while you drive.

Re: Picking an external hard drive to backup my files - I bought one from Ebay and it worked great for about a year - I forget the brand. But, about 2 months ago, it froze up and all the info is stuck there. Luckily most of the info was still on my desktop computer - but I had a quote of $250 to get the info off the hard drive. I love the flexibility of moving info from one computer to the other with an external hard drive, but seems I would need to find a way to back up the hard drive somewhere else as an insurance policy. When mine froze up - I found a good number of questions on forums from people who had the same problem. So, it doesn't seem that buying Ebay was the issue. I've bought plenty of electronic things on Ebay and they have all worked. I think the issue with my external hard drive could've been because I was using it all day every day to store and retreive files and it was also turned on all the time - until I did that, I didn't have any problems at all. Re: Did you reach your goal this year? - Turns out there's 5 meeting locations for Toastmasters International in State College alone... only 30 minutes from my town. Most likely due to Penn State University, but surprising nonetheless that I have never heard of the organization before. I'll have to look more into it as it sounds like something I could benefit from.

Re: Do you have to have your own business in order to - Good for you, and remember that education is never wasted. So the more you learn the better off you will be and the less chance you will have of being ripped off by anyone. Learn all you can about patenting and marketing your product and you will be sure to succeed. MichelleJ
