The simple truth to increasing sales; follow up, follow up, follow up!

Did you know that the majority of sales leads and enquiries do not get followed up more than once (which could be why your business has a low conversion rate*)? To improve your sales or that of your sales team, develop a system to regularly check where each one is at and when they were last contacted. If you hold sales meetings, doing it at the beginning or end of each month is perfect.

Here are some statistics that I'm sure you will find most interesting:

To ramp up some sales in the next couple of months, go through all the leads you have received over the last 3-6 months and either you or your sales people pick up the phone and call them. You will be surprised how many people haven't done anything, simply because no one has bothered to follow up and they have simply been too busy to do anything about it.

* Your sales conversion rate is how many enquiries you receive vs. how many you convert into customers over a specified time frame. To calculate your sales conversion rate follow this simple formula

Total No. of Sales/ Total No. of Enquiries x 100 = Sales Conversion

e.g. 100 sales / 80 enquiries x 100 = 80%

Re: Do Women Play the Stock Market? Re: Do Women Play the Stock Market? - Getting others to follow the strategy consistently definitely includes discipline. For me, it took continual practice to develop the discipline to the point that it is second nature for me to follow the system. It works, and I liked getting greating results, so that helped keep me disciplined. When I didn't follow the system, I would lose money on an investment. That was enough to remind myself to stick with the systematic approach. Also, the approach I use is a simple approach versus some of the more complex systems I have seen out there. I figure why complicate things if I can keep it simple and still be profitable. My goal isn't to be an egghead; it's to continue making money in the market. Regardless of whether the market is up or down, I am still profitable.
Re: Free Twitter Resources & Apps Re: Free Twitter Resources & Apps - Thanks for posting the link, GT. Yes, it is important to have as many of the people you follow follow you back as possible, especially if you want Twitter.com to allow you to go beyond 2,000... Ideally, you want to find people in your niche who have big networks of followers and who reciprocate when you follow them.
Re: THE Most Important Concern At Startup Re: THE Most Important Concern At Startup - And, Tom, once you have your vision and you know what you really want to do, follow through has to be there. You're right. Many people have GREAT ideas but they lack the passion that will help them follow through with it.....or perhaps the money......or both. But the point it, sticking to something, no matter how tough it may seem at the time, can be the factor determining success or failure. Everyone has a great idea now and then, but it takes true tenacity to follow through and make it a reality.
Is Anyone Using Tweetdeck? Is Anyone Using Tweetdeck? - Hi folks. It's been a long time since I posted here, so I'm sure most of you will have forgotten me (apart from my friends in the PPG!). Been very busy with a few other things - but I hope I'll be posting a bit more often from now on. I just wondered whether anyone here is using Tweetdeck and what they think? It has a great automatic search tool on it which means you can find other people who are twittering about the things you are interested in, you can then follow them and send them a direct message when they follow you. For example, for my genealogy site I have a search for the word "Genealogy", so I get to see when anyone makes a post using this word. I then follow them, and when they follow back I send them a direct message with a link to my site and asking if I can be of any help. Haven't been using it long enough to get any sales, but I've had at least one person message back and say they'll be using me. You can also arrange your favourite tweeters and see immediately when anyone replies or sends you a direct message. It's a great tool, I think, especially if you have something more unique to sell than the usual online business stuff. Ros
Re: Twitter vs Facebook Re: Twitter vs Facebook - What's the best way that you all have found to search out Twitter users who seem to be interested in the same type of stuff you are so you can follow them and hopefully they will follow you back? I would like to increase my following but I want them to be somewhat targeted. I don't like following anyone and everyone just for the sake of doing it.
