Negotiation: A Skill and an Art form, or how to sell and REALLY close deals!
Sell, Sell, Sell…much of it is all about timing and presentation.
Many people perceive negotiation as convincing others to agree with what they are presenting. It isn't. Instead, negotiation is educating your potential customers until they understand why it is they must – must! – have your product.
Negotiation skill is really a special communication skill. And communication is not entirely based on the words you are using, whether they are used in writing or verbally. Instead, as much as half of what you're communicating to others is contained in what they see.
This is why a great visual presentation can be key to your success at negotiating. The best presentations contain:
Excellent graphics that present your numbers in visual form
Your ideas in simple, clear words
A slick and professional look and feel
Regardless of your slant, whether you're a small business owner or the representative of a major corporation, you can find the tools you need here. Whether you need graphics, animations, or the perfect powerpoint template to make your negotiation pitch work, you can find it here. Sometimes the layout design needs clipart, you might have to punch up a new logo for the product line you are looking to roll out. If it's a video presentation, background audio will polish off the production. It's just amazing the difference that can be made when you use the right tools. It doesn't have to cost thousands of dollars, in fact in today's age of computer desktop publishing it doesn’t even have to cost hundreds of dollars. For the past 20 years, I have been the kind of person who was buying the clipart, and marketing tools to make new logos, video presentations, powerpoints, web based sales landing pages and more. Thats one reason I started my own business a few years ago. My website is almost like a library of easy to use marketing tools to JUMP START the selling presentation process. It's mostly a digital library with immediate access for download. Anyone with common desktop publishing software and skills can create professional looking sales pieces.
