I Can See Inside Your Head
I am a lucky girl.
There are tons of reasons why but one of them is my friend, Holly.
She is an expert in marketing to women and one of the most well read
people I know. When she and I get together, I learn so much, it boggles
my mind.
A few nights ago we were having dinner, and sharing stories. In the
middle of one, she popped out with the most amazingly insightful,
simple phrases I’ve heard in a long time.
“You have no idea how obvious your inner dialogue is.”
Oh how true it is!
Whatever is going on in your mind, your prospect can read it. If you
are worried they will ask you a question you can’t answer, your
insecurity is written all over your face.
If you are concerned primarily with helping them find the best
outcome, regardless of the commission you’ll make, they can feel the
sincerity.
We all have a little voice in our heads who speaks to us constantly.
Sometimes that voice gives us good advice and sometimes it undermines
us terribly.
What is your voice telling you about the economy right now? Is it
telling you that this is a great time to grow your business and that
the prospect in front of you is looking for your expertise to guide him
through this tough time?
If not, your prospect can see inside your head and read your insecurity and desperation.
Put down the newspaper, close the window with the online news and go retrain your inner voice to help, not hurt, you.
Train it to want to help everyone you meet and you’ll never, ever have to worry about the economy or selling.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the only thing prospects saw inside your head was sunshine, hummingbirds and happy days ahead?
