Making emotive connections

Many believe that humans beings are rationally motivated creatures, andby virtue of thedecisions we make, we are more often that not, logical and considered in nature.

We may appear to be civilised and advanced intellectual creatures on the surface, however, when you analyse and really observe the world in which we all share and experience on a deeper level, it soon becomes profoundly evident, most, if not all, human behavior derives from the emotional region of the brain.

The notion of Logic V's Emotion is an insightful and interesting topic for discussion indeed. Equally as illuminating is the discussion, or better, 'inquiry' into what really drives and motivates your customer's to take action and buy what you are selling.

Customers will always make buying decison based on emotions and then defend the purchase with logic. How do your products orservices emotively connect with your customers'? Once you understand this you arewell on your way to creating a sales process that is less driven by price and more aligned with values and your customers' higher goals and aspiraitons.

Making Money in 2011 Making Money in 2011 - Hello forum members! As we draw closer to the new year I thought it would be appropriate to change the title of our forum category "Making Money in 2010" to "Making Money in 2011" - I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions and wish everyone a prosperous New Year!
The importance of connections that do not join your business The importance of connections that do not join your business - I cultivate many connections, many with people I have no business relation with. I just follow them, share their postings occasionally (sometimes I forget) and I give comments to their articles and blogs when I can. Today something happened that illustrates the importance of connections. Since I am reconfiguring a te script I asked a friend who is knowledgeable in scam issues if he new a reliable source where scams are listed. He sent me a link of a service that provides that and is compatible with the script. And he suggested I should contact his partner where I could it much cheaper. I did and his partner (who I found out later is also his life partner) with who I did not much contact, offered to help me with my script issues and server settings which were part of the problem. I am not good in those things. She helping me with this for free (except for the costs for the plug in license) is of great value for me. it will save me lots of time and probably a hard ache. These are great connections, with a closed wallet. Everybody should try to establish such relations. They are priceless. And when you do, cherish them. I do. I never forget such gestures and will try to do something for their business too. This does not mean necessarily joining or buying something. But I will never forget to recommend their services to people in need of the services they offer. You see, you can't run an online business all by yourself. You need a team and/or good connections that you lack yourself. The first thing you need to do is to update your profile with a picture of you and some personal information and a bit of your business. And than get active in a positive constructive way. Help others when you can and interact in a community. This will built relations and trust.
Re: On Which Social Media Sites Are You Most Active? Re: On Which Social Media Sites Are You Most Active? - [quote="billgelwick":2bzbq3mq]I don't utilize linkedin as I should either. I've joined a few groups, and get their updates regularly via email, but never really did anything with it. I'm thinking it's time to start looking into that more deeply. I too would love to hear what others are doing with it.[/quote:2bzbq3mq] I'm in the exact same boat. I've joined several groups related to business/marketing and get their updates regularly but I have yet to actually participate in them. I also have a few hundreds connections on there but I don't do much with it. Probably should though because it is a great site for making real business connections without all the promotion spam.
franchising franchising - I've got a couple of clients that have franchised recently with different experiences based on their promotional capabilities. One is a lifestyle-event company that has done well with 6 franchises up and running and 3-4 ready to go so for for 2007. They did a good job of promoting it through their personal networks and through their web site. They also worked hard to connect quickly with the potential investors. We usually had a full package in their hands within 24 hours. The second one is barter exchange organization that after 2 years of trying has signed up 2 franchisees. They were slow in moving - didn't promote it through their connections and were more concerned about trying to not let poor franchisees in I think they eliminated everyone else. In starting up its about using good connections until you can build up a critical mass that attracts people you have no connection with. Cheers
