No one sees a Naked Telemarketer
In my humble opinion, cold calling is a waste of time. When was the last time you purchase something from a cold call telemarketer? Hmmm... never! Not to mention the entire customer experience being invasive, pushy and of course down right disrespectful. If I am at home with my kids after a busy day, I don’t want to talk to a pushy stranger that interrupts me to try and sell me something. Even if you are selling gold bars for free I wouldn’t buy. I don’t trust you. Why? Because you don’t respect me, my time, my right to privacy and my right to choose what I want to buy. I love buying, but I hate being sold.
And you know what? Even if you are naked on the other end of the phone, I can’t see you, so it’s a waste of time. Put your pants back on buddy and don’t call me ever, ever again. If I want to buy from you, I’ll seek you out. I’ll decide when and how I engage you. Not you… me. Why? Because I’m the customer. I have the control. Thank you Mr Tim Berners Lee!
