What I Learned From A Rich Guy . . .
Most rich people don't get rich by accident. Yeah, I know there
are exceptions.
Last Friday and Saturday I spent 1.5 days with an Internet millionaire
who was sharing all of his secrets with an audience of 105 entrepreneurs.
This was the second of four sessions which I invested $10,000 to attend.
If you think that's a lot of moola, you should've talked to the guy I was
sitting next to, who invested $100,000 for the advice and counsel of this
Internet millionaire.
This Internet millionaire has a business which is rapidly growing and
approaching $10 million annually.
By the way, he gave me the idea for my new eBook, "The Science Of
Getting Rich For Salespeople And Entrepreneurs."
I can't help myself when it comes to comparing and contrasting things.
For example, one of the striking differences between the group of 105
entrepreneurs and the 16,287 subscribers on my No-Brainer Selling Tips
Newsletter is their relentless pursuit of new ideas and ways to accumulate
wealth.
The 105 entrepreneurs I spent the weekend with invested approximately
$1.1 million for their self-improvement. Every body in that room wants
to get rich. Depending on how you define "Rich," some of us already
are rich. Becoming rich is not a destination for most of us who were
seated in that ballroom at the Marriott Hotel - it's definitely a journey
for us.
I can't help but chuckle a little when I compare the willingness of 105
entrepreneurs to invest $1.1 million to the reluctance of 99.3% of my
mailing list to invest $19.95 for a book which is designed to help you
to become rich.
Last week, after I e-mailed my newsletter, I got a call from a woman who
lives in San Diego. She was interested in buying this book but was
skeptical that I even existed. I did my best to reassure her I was a
living and breathing human being who just happens to be an author and a
sales strategist.
Enough about that. I learned something, but maybe I should say I was
reminded again about something so basic and yet so powerful the same 99.3%
of the adult population of United States completely ignores.
At one point during the Internet millionaire's lecture he talked about
the power of goal setting. If you've been reading my newsletters for any
period time, you know that I talk about the very same subject. But the
Internet millionaire takes another step which catapults him to a much
higher level.
So he starts talking about goal setting. He says everyone should have 10
goals for the year in writing. And he continues by saying you need to
look at them every day. He then pulls out a wad of cash from his pocket
and unfolds his list of goals for the year. Talk about practicing what
you preach, I just typed up by 10 goals for the year and now have them
in my pocket.
He also said you need a goal, a specific goal in dollars, for how much
you want to sell every single day!
I invested $10,000 to get these two tips that I'm sharing with you at
no charge.
Here they are again:
1. Prepare in writing your top 10 goals for the year. Carry this on
your person every day.
2. Start every day with a written goal of how much you want to sell
in dollars.
As soon as you do both of these things your sales and personal income
will increase. Once that happens you might even want to go out on a limb
and set your sights on becoming rich. And if you do want to become rich
I've got just the book to get you started on this journey.
