With new laws requiring medical records to all be electronic soon, many doctors are scrambling to get through the many choices that are out there so they can see which of the many software available, would best fit into their practice without a large disruption in the flow of their office and without breaking their budgets at a time when we're all tightening our belts. Doing that isn't always easy, so I'm offering some insights that may help during this process.

After hearing about more and more promises of 44K stimulus monies, I decided it was time to share my understanding of the stimulus package and how it applies to chiropractic at present. My intent is to help educate you on how it may (or may not) affect you as a chiropractor. After many conversations, I feel that a lot of you are being misled with sales spins and am disappointed with fellow vendors for their use of this kind of tactic.

Although some people may not think of teaching school as a sales position, I felt that for fourteen years I was selling myself to the parents and administrators and doing a great job of it. As with any job, you are constantly selling yourself in order to get the best results from your efforts. It is that realization that inspired me to go directly into the field of sales to see if I was correct that my previous experiences would facilitate sales success. Since moving into the field over 6 years ago, I feel that I have indeed used many of my teaching/er experiences to close sales and have also honed many new skills so that I am not only an asset to our company, but an integral link in the chain that holds our business together. I feel fortunate to be able to share some of my expertise with our forum and hope to get to know our members better through the process.
