When making a presentation, the process to prepare and present can be relatively simple.
When preparing, there is a three-step process to consider:
- 1) Tell them what you are going to tell them
- 2) Tell them
- 3) Tell them what you told them
The actual presentation format should include the following:
- 1) Open the presentation
- 2) Preview the presentation
- 3) Present the Main Content
- 4) Review the Main Content just presented
- 5) Close the presentation
In terms of the "Tell them" step, this is the actual "main content" of the presentation that will be shared.
In terms of the "Tell them what you told them", this relates to the "Review " and "Close" of the presentation.
Humor, quotes, and personal stories go along way to keeping your audience engaged.
