A plate of juicy, sliced lemons!

Take a few moments to thinkabout a plate of freshly sliced, juicy lemons. Think about their colour, their texture, their smell, their taste. Are you salivating?

Most people will start to produce more saliva when asked to do this simple exercise. But whyam I asking you to do such abizarre thing? Simply to demonstrate to you how powerful our ability to visualise is and the physical impactit can have on our bodies and minds.

The physical effect that you experienced is purely down to your ability to visualise the sight, feeling, smell andtaste of lemons. There aren't any lemons for you to see, touch or taste so how come you have such a strong physical reaction? Well, yes lemons are a rather distict tasting fruit but how can thinking about something create a physical response and if we can do this thinking about lemons how can we use this to our benefit? Let's explore this a little further.

Have you led in bed when the alarm goes off and thought " Oh no, I don't want to get up and go to work. It's going to be a horrid day. I hate my boss, I hate my job. The drive is going to be hell, I'm going to stink at the presentation to the new client. This is going to be a bad day" .

What happens? Invariably you have a bad day because you "planned" it that way. You set yourself up to feel depressed, miserable, stressed and unhappy!

So lets turn it around and visualise a better day "It's going to be a great day today. My job is aok, it gives me most of what I want, my boss isn't all bad and he said thanks yesterday, which was nice. My presentation to the new client will go down a storm! The drive is going to be aok and I can listen to that new CD. Maybe I'll even get a great parking space!".

What happens? Invariably you have a good day because you "planned" it that way. You set yourself up to be positive, enthusiatic and happy!

SO WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH LEMONS????

What we think about effects how we feel (there is a physical reaction towhat we think..remember the lemons!!) which in turn effectsour behaviour.

If you "plan" to be grumpy your body will react accordingly. You will feel dull, lacking energy and find negativity every where. But if you "plan" to behappy guess what, you will feel upbeat, energetic and positive, regardless of what life throws at you!

Re: What is your age? Re: What is your age? - I agree. The Internet is the best thing since sliced bread. When I was in college I had to actually learn how to make programs because there weren't any. It's been an interesting evolution and I'm very glad for it, as I'm sure you all are, too. P.S. You're only as old as you think and act. I agree that learning something daily will keep you going.
Craigslist Article Directory Craigslist Article Directory - that's a great idea Takuya! You can list articles and just before you get to the juicy stuff have the reader follow on thru to you site by linking directly to the article. Takuya, have you tried this or do you give them the whole article on Craigslist?
Re: Food catering question Re: Food catering question - Hi Kevin, $9 is a VERY low price to charge for a three course meal of any kind. Usually good rule of thumb regarding meals is that meat, fruit and vegetables should take up two-thirds of the plate, while carbohydrates should comprise the remaining third. I think you are going to have to increase your prices in the future, you really can't afford very much meat or protein at this price. If it were $9 just for the main it wouln't be so bad, although you would still be cutting it fine. Have you decided what you are going to do yet? Take care, Carol
Re: Teens make $$ on Squidoo Re: Teens make $$ on Squidoo - I make a residual income from Squidoo, and some of it I give to charity. But I never made lenses for that reason, more for a wider promotion strategy. In all honesty I don't think squidoo is the best strategy for making money online, since Squidoo takes a big chunk of your earnings and you don't have 100% control of your content. The advantage is your pages have some ranking power out of the bag, but with consistent effort you could have your own site which ranks. If you want to make $500/mo from Squidoo you'd need between 100-1000 quality lenses (depending on niche and aff. comissions), be specifically promoting a good product using your own affiliate links, and do a little bit of promotion to your lenses and profile. A keyword juicy title for your lenses is also a must so do some keyword research and go for LONGTAIL. I recommend you also create your own site and link the squidoo lenses to that, and also incorporate other authority sites where you can publish content like ezinearticles and hubpages.
