How to find the right job for you, in just 7 simple steps

Step One. Write down all your skill sets, what jobs you would like to do and what companies you would like to work for.

Step Two. Make a shortlist of the companies and research them, confirm the CEO name and the key people within the company aligned to your position.

Step Three. Creat your CV/Resume, highlighting all your key strengths and successes within previous roles.

Step Four. Create a covering letter that highlights your major attributes and success stories that align themselves to the position you would like to apply for. Write about how and why you will bring added value to their business, do not go over the top, be as honest at all times.

Step Five. Attach your CV/Resume and covering letter together and send to the CEO or the key person within the company, post it in a A4 envelope and make it stand out, make it memorable. Print out a great picture, maybe a beach or sports scene, something that's eye catching and different from the norm and print it onto an A4 sticky label, then stick it onto your envelope, write the name and address on the sticky label, using an ink pen, bold and clear, with NO spelling mistakes.

Step Six. Send it by special delivery to your contact, so that your contact has to sign for it.

Step Seven. Follow up with a call to arrange an interview, but do not be suprised if they contact you before you call them.

Re: Newbie Re: Newbie - Hi rocket33, I've started growing an interest in SEO. Mainly because I've seen the simple steps I've taken make my site jump up to Page 1 of Google. It's addictive when you get results like that. Welcome to the forum. SEO is a moving target and having someone with their finger on the pulse will make this Forum even more invaluable - I look forward to the discussions.
Survey the Landlord Survey the Landlord - Terry, my suggestion is simple but powerful - Survey. Survey Landlords and find out what is important to them. By doing this it does two things: 1. You will find out trends/under-operated services that Landlords are currently unsatisfied with = your client will be able to fulfill 2. You are infact Marketing your clients services by doign this because when you are approaching your landlords it not a sales pitch and they have someone to clear their frustrations with. Then when you approach them after a month (when you've put your numbers together and identified services that are most important) you can remind them of the survey and share with them the results. At this point you can end with an offer to use your clients services to manage their property. I use this method with my clients who are looking for new services to develop in thier markets. It's simple but powerful.

I guess one way to find out what your readers' like is to create a poll and simply ask them. I've seen several bloggers do this asking simple design related questions. That's one simple and quick way to get feedback and know what they like about the design... or don't like.
Re: What should I call my E-Book Re: What should I call my E-Book - I don't have an idea right now, but i have an advice. If you need a title than try to find one simple and clean so that people can remember it easily.
