Anger - Don't Get Mad and Don't Get Even - Part One

Anger - Don't Get Mad and Don't Get Even - Part One

So, what does make you mad?

Here’s a list - it's by no means complete; but please take a moment to consider these areas and see how many of the items included annoy, frustrate or even infuriate you. Equally, how many might describe your behaviour – whether regularly to infrequently?

Statements to consider:

# I have been known to lose my temper with work colleagues # I get quite angry when talking to people on the phone # I often shout at others when driving # I don’t feel comfortable dealing with any new technology # I really, really hate shopping # I guess I fail to keep a good balance between work and home activities # I detest people who leave their mobile phones switched on during meetings # Okay, i'll admit it - I like to listen to a little gossip now and then # I get annoyed when a colleague gets herself a coffee – but doesn’t offer to get me one # I am frustrated by colleagues helping themselves to my stationery, do-nuts and the like # I dislike spending my "free" time paying household bills # I often find driving to work very stressful # I don’t like really untidy people # I don’t like obsessively tidy people # I receive far too much useless information at work # I hate people who just look miserable all the time # I hate people who seem to be happy all the time # I have hit my computer on occasions - and enjoyed it Wow! Calm down friend! Now, please remember that the above list is neither exhaustive nor is it psychologically designed. It’s simply a slightly light-hearted way of showing you how easy it is to get upset, frustrated – or even downright furious. So, carry on reading the other articles in this series and you’ll find some thoughts, tips and advice to help you deal with whatever level of anger you reach
