MBA and their DREAMS

Rohit & Mohan are both post graduates in their respective fields of MBA and Engineering.

Rohit- hey mohan, how much do you think i should get in, i mean expect as my first job after completing MBA?

Mohan- Well, as far the salary goes, i think your MBA institute+ your qualification till now+ your performance till date+ your own personality+ the job sector you are looking for+ the company you are expecting you to hire+ the ...... minimum I guess. Nothing less than 3-4 lacks per annum dude...what do you say?

Rohit- well I have decided. Nothing less than 5 lacks is what i am settle ling for...

Mohan- ???...to himself...."just an MBA and 5 lacks? My foot. Lets see...”

WELCOME to the dreams of MBA...

Masters of Business Administration? Managers By Attitude? Or in hindi..MAHA BEWAKOOF AADMI?

Excuse me for my tongue, but sadly it has become this these days...

All of us, including me, have of course done back calculations in mathematics in our primary education days. So, what has stopped us now?

before going further, I would request you all to trust not my words, but do trust the sites which shows the current market condition, which will give all my fellow friends to think twice before they say 5 lacks..

With 1280 MBA institutes, what are expecting? An average B school has 150 students. With simple calculations we have 1280X150=192000 MBA per year!!

95% marketing jobs

3% other jobs

2% and even less hr jobs...rest calculation is up to you friends.

How can we expect a company to hire MBA and bunch of MBA’s? What will we do there? Any company/firm, produces either a product or service. Now such nature of operations requires the hard skills in large quantities. In such circumstances, what is an MBA's contribution? Sadly we are no where no. With the job market saturating and the global recession, little has been left in our hands.

But wait...so what after MBA? Well as far I have seen my elders, my peers and friends, they joined any organization (but the sector was their pre determined choice) and now they have been promoted up to the ladder. Its all a grab, wait and grow (GBG) strategy in the job market. Now its enough we have dreamt of. Now its time to get into the grounds of reality and replant ourselves, ignoring what other may say about us...

It’s always patience that pays in the end...

As a small initiative I have made a community for all those who are looking for some opportunities in the beginning to make it big on their own. The idea is to en cash our relationship skills and references and make the situation back to the rising side of the graph...
