The Danger of Life Patterns

All of us live specific patterns in life. We sleep in the same spot on the bed, go to sleep and get up at approximately the same time, drink out of the same cup, eat the same basic food weekly, and on and on the patterns go.

We also live by patterns that produce the confusion in our lives. Although some of the situations are different, the patterns and stress are very similar. For instance, a person with money problems, lives a life pattern of money problems.

Since the outcomes of our lives are based upon the results of our patterns, if people want something different to occur in life, they need to change their patterns.

Although life, finances, health, and relationships may seem to be completely out of your control, in reality, your patterns will predetermine what you can expect.

If someone wants to improve their finances, the individual needs to change the money pattern from producing financial strain to producing financial abundance.

If someone wants to improve health, the individual needs to change the health pattern from producing dis-ease to producing vibrancy and health.

If someone wants to improve a relationship (or start one), the individual needs to change the love pattern from producing self centered things to producing harmony with another.

What patterns are you producing in life? Are these patterns in line with what you want or are they producing what you don't want? As I mentioned, most people want one thing but they are living their lives with contradicting patterns to their desire.

Identify want you want and change your patterns to align with your desire.

You'll be amazed at how quickly things will manifest when we make the necessary corrections to our life patterns.

If you don't change the way you're doing things, you'll only produce more of what you already got up to this point in life.

Change isn't comfortable. That's why most people live in a pattern of misery rather than making the necessary changes to create their dream life.

When we change something, it takes self discipline to say, "I'm no longer living my life or handling my personal matters that way." This self discipline is what many people seek yet avoid implementing. They read books, attend seminars, and have good intentions, only to find in the end, they avoid the implementation process of change.

Here's a good exercise to sink this point deep into your Mental Coding. Answer the following:

1. What do you want in life right now?

2. What changes would be required of you to make this happen?

3, Are you willing to "pay the price" and make this change of pattern?

4, When will you make this change? Be honest and realistic with yourself here. Only make this statement if you're willing to back it up once-and-for-all.

As the famous German actor, Stefan Rudolph says it perfectly, "Once failure leads to change...change will then lead toward success."

As you change, refuse to look at your changes as losing anything. Human beings never like to lose anything. Instead, concentrate on what you're gaining. A person who goes on a diet to lose weight has a much harder struggle than a person who changes patterns to create better health.

Thank you for taking the time with me during this Five Minute Mental Break. Until next week, I am

Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth - [quote="Tami Szabo":292ze3jd]People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.

He spends all his life having his hopes and dreams shattered, feeling miserable, and its only at the end of his life that he can look back and realize how many friends he has, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that up until that point he was miserable![/quote:1rxsgr0t] I love the sentimentality around watching that movie with your Mom! Chtistmas is made up of all those sentimental things. "It's A Wonderful Life" is all about perspective, much in the same way that Scrooge is 'realigned' in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" - which I listen to on CD every year (sometimes twice!) Happy Christmas Everyone! Regards Martin
