The Power of Change
Is your life going through some changes? Of course it is. Everyone's life is constantly changing, that's what life is all about. All of us change, adapt to the change, grow because of the change, and repeat the cycle all over again. This process creates a bigger life for all of us and is necessary for greater success.
What do you feel about your life changes? Well, if you're like most people, change is something that you would like to avoid. Change creates a sense of confusion for people because they aren't familiar with the new change. Confusion makes people feel out-of-control. So, ultimately, change can make individuals feel out-of-control and confused and this cycle has a tendency to create depression in people.
The media likes to bring negative attention to the dynamic changes of life and the world. According to the way the media delivers its messages, the end of the world should occur either next week or the week after. Of course I'm simply having fun with the way our news is delivered and how the media tends to exaggerate the negative changes and minimize the potential for anything positive. There is one thing all of us can agree on, "There are many changes taking place on the planet and in every person's life."
Currently, you may be going through what appears to be some negative changes. Actually, the changes could appear to be devastating, when in reality, you can make it a positive or a negative depending on what you want the outcome to be in your life.
Now, we're getting into my Mental Codes Technology®. How we respond to change is dependent upon our Mental Codes. If our Mental Coding is programmed to concentrate and create negative emotions, our reaction to change (good or bad) will always be negative.
If you want to experience the most out of your life, learn to adapt to change; invite change; and look forward to change. Realize that when you're changing, you're growing into a bigger person. Change is the essential element for any successful life. Without change, a person would stay in a static state of being less, year after year.
Many companies and organizations are downsizing or going out-of-business. This results in people losing jobs and not being able to find comparable employment. Many people will stay stuck searching for jobs they are familiar with, even when none exist. This type of stuck behavior produces feelings of being out-of-control and depressed. Rather than panic at the thought of having to change the way you made money in the past, embrace the opportunity to grow into something bigger.
During these peculiar times, many people are going into business for themselves. The best way to start a business is to identify what your passions are in life and see how you can turn them into an income. If you can't turn your passions into an income, is there something you can do to make other people's lives better?
Don't go into a business formed only on the potential to make a great deal of money. Although money is necessary for survival, first be willing to give and then you will receive.
If you look at any successful person or business, the business first concentrated on giving something to others and then money followed. If you concentrate first on money before giving, you'll find yourself struggling to stay in a positive cash flow. This isn't a philosophy of life it is a process for success.
Begin to turn your feelings from confusion and devastation to opportunity and excitement. You cannot solve financial or employment problems in a state of panic. You will only create more negative feelings and situations to satisfy your need for feeling panicked. Remember from my Mental Codes Technology, "...everyone is addicted to negative emotions, and just like any addict, will do whatever is necessary to satisfy their addiction...we will create negative situations in our lives to give us the negative chemicals (natural brain drug) in our brains...."
Whatever you're facing, become determined to do the best you can, exhaust all possibilities quickly, and create a feeling that a higher power is working in your life. You will be okay but you must become aware of it first. Create a knowingness within you that says, "This is the best thing for me and God has a plan for my life and will guide me to the perfect employment or business that is just right for me." Remember, whatever you say it is will be the determining factor of how it will impact your life-negatively or positively.
One of my favorite quotes by author, Richard Bach says, "What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly."
The outcome of your current changes will ultimately be up to you. Will you shrink and shrivel? Or, will you expand into a new existence and come out bigger and better than you ever were before the change occurred?
All of my programs concentrate on the present and future aspects of a person's life. I like to avoid the past because there is nothing we can do about it-it's gone forever. Although we can't do anything about the past (Even God can't change the past), you can do something about the changes taking place now and get the most out of your life in the future.
Choose to get into the habit of gratitude. Give thanks for everything, and I do mean everything, in your life. Look for things to be grateful for, from the leaves on the ground to the important people in your life. The more gratitude you give, the happier and more content will be your current existence. Having an attitude of gratitude will attract more goodness and happiness to your life.
Although things may look a little peculiar for some people, it's only a moment in time. This moment will pass and all of us will look back someday at these times as "the good old days."
It's now time to close our Five Minute Mental Break.
