The Weakest Link

As the old saying goes, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link," so too is our lives. What is your weakest link?

Your weakest link is your strongest, personal weakness that continues to get in your way to developing a bigger and more successful life. Whatever this personal weakness is, I will help you to recognize it in this writing and make some simple suggestions in strengthening it.

Most people work on their strengths. Since these are already strengths for the individual, it is easy for a person to feel comfortable working on these things. Unfortunately, the personal strengths of an individual are only as strong as the person's greatest weakness.

Without identifying and working on our weaknesses, we are doomed to limit the level of success we can achieve. There will be a constant governor that restricts growth past a certain level.

The good news for anyone who desires to overcome the limitations of their greatest weakness is this simple exercise that may assist you.

Make a list of every weakness within your personality. Be honest and try to identify all of them.

1. With each weakness, write exactly what it is; where you think it came from; why you are holding onto it; and what your life would be like without the weakness.
2. Place the list of weaknesses with all your answers in a private area and go over the list once a day for the next seven days. As you go over your list, you'll see the weaknesses listed will begin to have less power over your life. Yes, just by addressing your weaknesses and confronting them for seven days you will significantly diminish or take away their power.

I love nothing more than to witness an individual overcoming personal weaknesses and Upgrading Life to the next level. When we begin to understand the power that lies within ourselves, we start the process of living life the way it was meant to be lived-fully with passion.

As the Modern Day Philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Our strength grows out of our weakness."

May you find additional strength for your life's journey by addressing the personal weaknesses that have been holding you back.
