These Are The Good Old Days
These Are The Good Old Days
Are you going through a time of struggle and uncertainty these days? Are you questioning what tomorrow may bring? Well, realize one thing for sure, you're not alone.
Everyone experiences problems. Although your problems may be unique to your individual life, everyone has their own fair share of challenges that may linger on. When we take our current problems and shift them into future possibilities, the uncertainty intensifies our struggle. You may want to stop for a moment and realize the struggles of today will be the good times for tomorrow.
Besides staying in the "present" and realizing that these times will pass, there are some things you may want to learn about your current problems that will diminish additional struggles in your future.
What is the cause of all your current problems?
Almost all of your current problems are a result of your actions or inactivity around a specific matter. In other words, the problems just didn't pop-up one day. Instead, you can trace your own involvement around most problems. You could have done something different to avoid or eliminate the current (or future) challenge before it got to the fruition of a real problem. What I'm talking about here is taking responsibility for your own involvement.
I know there are many of you who might say, "Michael, I didn't do anything to make this situation happen to me. How can I be involved in this terrible situation I'm in?" Look back over the pre-deposing events that led up to the current challenge and using personal honesty, you could probably find a number of decisions, actions, inactivity, denial or a number of other personal contributions that led to your current dilemma.
By taking responsibility for your contributions of your plight will protect you from making similar mistakes in the future. Otherwise, as most people find-out the hard way, "Mistakes are repeated until the lesson is learned." When we learn the lesson of our specific contributions to our problems, we are led to a choice of what we want to do in the future. That leads me to the next point....
If you feel out-of-control over your life or the current struggles, then, you are. If you feel you are in-control of the situation, then you will be just that.
If you feel that you will "somehow" handle the problem, learn from it, and refuse to contribute to the things you did personally that lead to the present day struggles, you will be done with the lesson of the current challenge and free from having to repeat the problem again. The alternative is to continue repeating the things that are contributing to your current financial strains, relationship discourses, job/business problems, health issues, and get more of these problems presented to you.
Have you ever thought, "If I can just handle this specific challenge of my life, I'd be happy."
Most people change problems instead of resolving not to create new challenges.
Many people feel subconsciously alive when they face challenges and come-up with solutions. The thrill of overcoming problems becomes an addiction for additional problems. As a matter of fact, if you don't have enough problems of your own to give you the thrill, you may take on other peoples' challenges or watch the news to experience some additional thrills. This addiction will ensure a life of misery based upon the need to constantly charge your life with hardships.
By eliminating your own contributions, you can eliminate more than 90% of your dilemmas.
Decide to change some things about yourself. Decide to stop doing the things that will create problems or letting other people infringe upon your happiness. Stay focused on whatever comes before you today; you can learn from it and avoid your personal contributions that created the challenge.
Although it is impossible to eliminate all problems in life, you can at least eliminate the ones that you are creating.
Above all else remember, these are the good old days. As Sigmund Freud said, "One day in retrospect the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful."
Embrace the beauty of your present life and you will be able to experience the happiness and success you desire. By dreaming of a future time, free from any problem may be a little Pollyanna. Detaching from the stress and uncertainty of the future, will keep you focused on what counts-today!
So many people I've met live a life of problems and future nightmares.
Once these individuals stop blaming everything and everyone else around them for their situation and take responsibility for their own contributions to the problems, they are able to grow to the next level of consciousness and life.
Once again, I feel the need to ask you, "What are you deciding to be?" Are you deciding to be a life of problems and stress or a life of an empowered Master? The decision is up to you. Your life is up to you and certainly, your problems are up to you as well.
If you are tired of repeating the same life over an over again, give me a call and let's work together on a plan that will change your life forever. I work with a select number of people personally every year to help them create more money, business, and life. My approach is unique because it has a proven track record of getting fast results.
Now, I go into my day, detached from the future uncertainties and concentrating only on what I did to contribute to my current problems. As you can see, it is a lesson that we must continuously teach ourselves on a daily basis.
Until we share more life in the future, I am
In loving service,
Dr. Michael J. Duckett
