Your Limit

It isn't that most people set too high of a goal and fail, it's much more common for people to set too low of goals and succeed. I'm sure this is not the first time this thought has been conveyed to others but it may be the first time you actually "felt" what it meant.

 Contrary to popular belief, all of us are able to choose what level of life we are currently playing at. It just amazes me how many people choose to play a small game when they desire something bigger.

 The confusing part of it all is how most people will think the process to living a more prosperous and successful life is to identify what they want to "be" in the end. Next, they think they will create the steps on what to "do" to become this person. Finally, they concentrate on what they want to have. Let me tell you, this is completely backwards.

 The real process to greater success in anything is to identify what you want to "have," followed by what you must "do" to create it, and finally, what will you "be" after you possess your desired "have."

 If you were to question a champion in anything, sports, acting, business, finance, etc., they will tell you their first step in the process of success was to focus on the results they desired. Think of results as what you want to have. Complete this sentence, "My primary objective is to have...." Whatever you write are the results. Results are the end product of what you desire to possess or achieve and they are quite different than goals.

 Goals are used to achieve the results but if you don't have a clear picture of the results you desire, you won't be able to create sound goals. Another way to think of goals is to think of them as what you will "do" to create your results. You want to realize your goals and actions of today are creating your tomorrow-good or bad.

 If you are doing constructive positive things toward achieving your results, you will eventually be accomplished. If you are doing things that are not in line with your results, you will NEVER reach your desired results. At the end of your journey toward your results, you will become something. That is the final expression of yourself for having followed through with your goals to accomplish your results.

 What will you allow your life to be?

 Will you throw it in the wind and wonder how it will turn out, or will you "causatively" take the right action, combined with the right attitude, to decide what you want to have, do, and be?

 Keep in mind, problems will surface at all levels of life. If you're playing a small game, you'll have problems. If you're playing a big game, you'll have problems. If problems will exist at any level of life, why not take the "high road" and live a bigger game. Live to your real potential and experience a totally different existence.

 When we think we've reached our max in anything, good or bad, the next moment shows us we still have plenty of room to grow.
