Seed and Grow Rich: How to Plant th Seeds that Lead to Big Sales

Today I'm going to share with you a skill that can do magical things for your presentation and results. "Seeding" is the process of planting useful information that comes from the products or services that you will be offering for sale at some point during your presentation. This technique is also effective in sales letters, on the phone, in one-on-one conversations, in recorded products and in many other ways.

The valuable information from your product or service is called a seed because it also lets the audience know that more of that great information can be found in your CD, weekend workshop, book, program or seminar.

So, you're sharing information but also piquing the interest of your audience, so that by the end of your presentation, all of those seeds will have sprouted and your audience will be hungry for more.

Are you ready to see how this works? Here are two easy ways you can get started seeding right away:

1. Partnership from the Start

I've written about partnership from the start as a mindset, but let me demonstrate for you right now why it's also my main approach to seeding. Here we go: "I have 650 words here in this article, not nearly enough space to lead you step-by-step through the process of seeding. However, this is really important information that can make all the difference for your results, so in these 650 words, I'm going to give you everything that I possibly can and, I promise, before I finish up, I'll show you how you can learn more."

Do you see what I just did? I seeded my offer but I did it by giving myself permission to present that offer later in this article.

This seeding technique is perfect for you creative, heart-centered entrepreneurs because it establishes trust with the audience. It doesn't feel salesy or pushy, and it gives you permission to unabashedly promote your offers later.

I just demonstrated this above, but here are the points you want to express:

You have a limited amount of time with your audience.

The information you're providing is valuable and will transform their life or business.

You have so much more to give than you can fit into the time allotted, but you'll give them as much as you can. (This is totally authentic and true!)

And then, as a service, you will point out where they can get more on the subject.

One important caveat: As I exclaimed above, all of those points have to be true and you have to honestly believe in your offering or this technique will fall flat because it won't be - or feel - authentic.

2. Your Discovery Story

Let's say you have a five-step process for parenting your unruly teenager. In your discovery story, you talk about the hardship you were experiencing that led you to try the five things that finally worked. And now you want to save other parents the same frustration, so you put it together in a workshop.

As the audience is hearing your story, they're also learning about your workshop (the seed), but it's all within the context of your discovery story so it feels very natural that you're talking about it.
