The Secret to Having Sales Mojo!

Eighteen months ago, I was charging $125/hr. This year my business is on track for 2 million plus! How in the world did I pull that off? When I left the company I was working for, I went into a slump. I knew I needed a mentor, a coach who could inspire me to the next level, so I started interviewing. Everyone was charging $500/mo. except for Carri Scuba, who charged $1,000 a month. I wanted to have the courage to charge what Carri was charging, so I hired her. I figured, how were those other coaches going to help me double my rate to $250/hr. when they weren't charging that themselves? I scraped together the money-not easy-and made the leap. Guess what? The very next client I took on paid me $250/hr.!

I'd been following Internet marketer Ali Brown for a while and last year decided to invest in her online marketing workshop, which was $3,000. That was another huge leap for me. I'd never invested that much before. But, I did, and, within two months of making that investment, took on my first $3,000/day client. The amazing part is, her online marketing workshop was still five months away. I hadn't even done her training yet!

Then, still before attending Ali's program months later, I attracted nine more $3,000/day clients! Within a few months, I'd paid myself back 10 times over!

Fast forward to Ali's $100K Diamond Mastermind. Did I have $100K lying around? Of course, not. But the minute I heard her speak about it at her event, I knew that it was right, so to my own surprise, I made the investment. Gulp!

Seven months later, people were investing up to $100K in themselves to join my Mastermind! We grossed nearly 1 million in Mastermind sales! Again, the investment I made in myself was returned times ten!

Before I go any further, I need to say that prior to these investments, I was a master at getting what I could out of free preview calls and from studying other marketers' emails and web strategies. I had built a nice living from what I could glean from the outside, and some of you are doing that, too. But until I started investing in myself and putting my tush on the line, I didn't realize my true potential.

Here's the bottom line: you can't expect people to invest in themselves through you at a level that YOU have not invested in yourself.

So, here's how to get your Sales Mojo operating on high...

1.Choose a mentor, someone that you resonate with who has proven systems for getting the kind of results you desire. Who inspires you the most?

2.Make sure your mentor thinks bigger than you do. I notice that it's hard to see the vision for rising higher than my mentors have risen.

3.Invest more deeply than you think you can. Take action, stay committed and have faith, and it will come back to you many times over.

4.Act on your mentor's coaching. Don't keep going to event after event, collecting more random pieces of the puzzle, but not zeroing in on a specific game plan. Commit to your mentor's proven strategies.

The result of investing in myself beyond what felt comfortable has been exponential growth. I'm serving more people than I could ever have imagined only one year ago. They are experiencing transformation they only dreamed of and I get to be part of that. I'm personally stretching myself every day to grow and expand to where Source is taking me. Victoria's Secret - Too Sexy? Victoria's Secret - Too Sexy? - This will be upsetting for some men. I just heard a report about Victoria's Secret and it was interesting. Their sales were down drastically in the 4th quarter of 2007 and the report was about how they are thinking the company has gotten too far away from the heritage that made it the blockbuster company it is. They are thinking the ads etc have become too sexy and the plan (at the moment) is to make the ads more sophisticated. That would be like the Super Bowl commercial which was very tasteful, but very different from any Victoria's Secret I've seen lately. Who do you all think the current sexy ads are targeting? I think its the men that they hope will buy these items for their female significant others. I hate to give Omarosa any kudos - but most women aren't "sold" on an item by an ad of a near naked sexy woman. Shri
