Live Consultant Thinking: Looking at Honest, Confidence and Integrity

At small business seminars and in one to one conversations, we often talk about seeing the big picture. It is important to business owners and their managers that everyone see the big picture, to better understand the business goals. I think it is equally important to question the big picture, to question and study what we are seeing.

We talk about things like honesty, respect, confidence and integrity. You and I are enough alike. Yet, with our individual minds, we see nothing precisely the same.

The object or problem we are both looking at is indifferent to us, and in constant sameness. You and I looking at it, studying the same thing, are not seeing the same thing. It may be similar, but I can not see what you see. And even as we are in agreement, both looking at the same big picture, you do not see what I see. Do you see what I am talking about?

Looking and seeing are not the same, as in radio, transmission and reception are not the same. While radio transmits from one point, and is received at a different point, our mind is the point of both transmission and reception. Looking is a mind activity going out. Seeing is that mind activity returning.

Each of us has an individual mind, rather than all of us having a common mind.

We can open our minds and heart to explore why different people see different things differently, the same as you and me.

We have uncommon minds.

Boosting Confidence Boosting Confidence - Confidence is something all of us women could stand to have infused in our blood 24/7! It’s one of those areas that many struggle with the most. Through my coaching practice, I’ve discovered an underlying thread that seems to undermine confidence in some women. It has to do with confusing true confidence with pride or arrogance. Confidence is being sure of who you are and what you are able to do in a way that does not compare yourself to others. It is not dependent on value because every one of us women is valuable. Pride or arrogance is when someone lifts him or herself above others as if they are more valuable than others. It also seems to be related to "approval addiction" where the self esteem must continually be fed by others or they don't feel good about themselves. Thus, some arrogant people put others down so they can see themselves as above. Confidence is simply being all of the great woman you already are. You want to create a great business and you want to do your job well. It is not prideful to be confident in what you are doing. I invite you to give yourself permission to really let your abilities come forward and see what happens to you and your business as a result. I’d also love to hear what methods you have for boosting your own confidence.
Re: what position to request? Re: what position to request? - Hi Michael, Great suggestion from David, or you could try something around a design consultancy, How about Website Design Consultant, Design and Development Manager, Website Support and Development Manager or maybe Internet Business Development Consultant. Ultimately whatever you are comfortable with and good luck for the future, Mal.
How Quick is That How Quick is That - Just to let you know that as I'm not as sharp as I might be in the ftp sort of world, I had a problem today with uploading a new site. Hostgator 'Live Chat' fixed this for me in two minutes flat and didn't make me feel I was an idiot at all (at least anymore than I felt myself). As I'm in the UK and ringing early am for me here, I thought that 'Live Chat' might have been EST, so off for me, but no, they were there! BTW I'd spelt my nameservers slightly wrong - duh! Now that's what I call service. Regards.
