Ease the Hassle of Payroll with New Technologies
Payroll can become quite tedious. It seems as though payroll
translates into endless paperwork and numbers that can really bring your day
down. However, new time tracking software is beginning to make this annoying
task a thing of the past.
Time and Attendance has been going high-tech, and even
mobile, making small business payroll servicessimpler and employees happier. One new mobile
version is the AboutTime app for cell phones. It is great for employees who
frequently work out of the office. It can send time and attendance reports
instantly and paper free.
The app includes GPS, fingerprint recognition, and other
innovative services allowing for a more efficiently run business. The data is
transferred right into the accounting system so that the company can instantly
generate reports, invoices, and quick payroll processing services with the
click of a button. In fact, clients using this software have reported an
average of 15% reduction in payroll costs.
Another new technology is an app developed by Econz. It
allows management to view time, attendance, job tasks, cost codes, breaks and
GPS tracking data of all mobile workers. It is called the Timecard app, and it
is argued to increase worker productivity, making sure they are on time, and
take timely breaks. Again the reduction of paper use allows for lower costs,
and less employee time spent on payroll paperwork, which allows for an overall
more efficiently run business.
Biometrics is also an increasing trend in time and
attendance. Fingerprint scans, eye scans, and even voice recognition scans are
all viable biometric options. The most frequently used however is fingerprint
scanning. This means that each time an employee clocks in or out, their
fingerprint is scanned to ensure that they are indeed who they are claiming to
be. This is great in preventing fellow employees from clocking out their
friends at a later time.
The way this works is by enrolling each employee into the
system. Each fingerprint is paired with an employee login ID number, again
preventing any security breaches that often occur in the workplace. If security
is not your biggest worry, a new high-tech innovation is still just as
appealing.
With all of this new technology coming out, it seems as
though business is going to start running a lot smoother. With the hassle of
payroll being reduced, and easier time and attendance software, employees will
be happier which transfers into happier customers as well, and as business
people we know that is most important.
