Find A Chiropractor And Protect Your Vitality
Maybe you've never been a fan of chiropractic care... I have friends (even a wife) who are very reluctant to try it. Most of the time, it's because they've heard some "old wives' tale" about how bone doctors aren't really doctors, and "a friend of a friend of mine really got messed up by one of those quacks."
I visit my chiropractor once a month, even though I almost never experience any pain for which I'd specifically seek him out (possibly BECAUSE I see him monthly). And I recommend a similar approach to my busy, stressed-out clients, even though they often say they don't have time to "experiment" with chiropractic treatment.
Whether you own a business, or work as a leader in an organization, or simply make your living through investing (nearly all of my clients fit into one of those categories), you need to take personal responsibility for your own vitality. Your mission (possibly even the life of your company) depends on your personal vitality and energy. By the way: so does your own happy life.
Dr. Roger Sperry, Ph.D. won the Nobel Prize for medicine for his research into the workings of the human brain. If you think you don't have time for chiropractic, think about this quote from Dr. Sperry: "Better than ninety percent of the energy output of the brain is used in relating to the physical body in its gravitational field. The more mechanically distorted a person is, the less energy available for thinking, metabolism, and healing" (1981).
I don't know about you, but I need all the energy I can get for things like "thinking." I used to be one of those stoic, work-through-the-night types who thought of himself as a "brain on a stick" - I'll sleep when I'm dead, I figured. Today, when I look back on my old, ill-informed ways, I can't help but wonder how much more effective - and creative, and (gosh darn it) BRILLIANT - I would've been if I'd done more to take care of my health. Who knew you needed energy to do your best thinking?
Dr. Sperry did - and now, so do you. Don't spend another month running low on energy because you won't stop being "mechanically distorted." Find a chiropractor - a good one - and get your mission into high gear. You'll need more energy than ever these days, during the holiday season! That old wives' tale is a myth... and that stuff that happened to a friend of a friend? It never actually happened.
Add regular chiropractic care to your daily health habits, particularly the five key practices I call The NEWSS: Nutrition (start by getting the garbage out of your diet), Exercise (get at least three good workouts a week), Water (get your two liters every day), Sleep (get your eight hours every night), and Supplements (take at least one good multi-nutrient).
